It's my favorite holiday I don't celebrate. Well, that and Purim. Who's going to a Seder?

Going to an "express" Seder with my folks.

You know: "Pharaoh tried to kill us. He failed. Let's eat."

hey wait...my sister is a jew and I thought you weren't suppposed to be using electricity and stuff. She told me she couldn't help me muck out the stalls cause it's a holiday and you can't work on a holiday and you have to stay home and can't turn lights on and stuff...

    DAMN THAT CRAFTY BITCH!

One Hanukkah a Jewish friend explained to me that the theme of every Jewish holiday can be boiled down to "They thought they killed us, but--ha HA!--we killed them instead."

I love any post that starts with "Hey, jews..." but is actually positive in nature.

I've always heard it similarly, which is what I was alluding to, but what I heard was,

"They tried to kill us...they failed...let's eat."

There seem to be many variations. The one I've heard is "First we were slaves, then we were free. Let's eat."

"Looking forward to a week without a shit here."

Passover is good for water conservation?

I'm going to start the Orthodox Homo movement. I'm hoping to recruit some extremist. We're gonna wrestle ugly people to the ground and make them beautiful. Starting with that pile of shit in the white house.

We need more gay Jews in Austin. I also need one to have sex with me regularly as well as provide companionship. ;-)

    Yay Passover.

For Pesach, my mom turns me into a slave. Had to move the couch and coffee table out of the living room and the kitchen table into the dining room (extending into the living room). Brought chairs from my place, rented another table for 8. With 25 guests and me being the family's dishwasher engineer I'll be busy after dinner. Then tomorrow all the furniture will need to move back and then I'll be free!

Still, between the horseradish and the charoset, it's worth it. (And yeah, I even like the parsley dipped in salt, the egg, the soup with knedalach and the gefilte fish!)

    Chag sameach, JewJocks. (:

And to you and your family, Caesarea.

I've started looking for the afikomen already. It's always best to start early.

I'm sure the wise men of Chelm said that somewhere, but be sure not to look only in the light.

So, assuming you find it, what's your ransom?

A take-home care package of my mother's gefilte fish. She still makes it by hand.
