People, I'm starting to freak out. I start walking to L.A. in just two days!!! This weekend will be hectic and emotional. AAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!

    Anyway, just needed to vent.

Oh, and here's the article on that local newspaper. They totally focused on my being gay, which is fine, I suppose. They needed to peg it to the marriage equality law. But my walk is about much more than that. I'm traveling the country to learn what it means to be an American--gay or straight.

And, yeah, I'm not crazy about the picture they chose--the colors look awful; I mean, I know I need (and will get) a tan, but jeez, could my legs look any whiter? icon_lol.gificon_rolleyes.gif

Very nice article. Will there be progress reports, and if so, where will they be posted? Also, are there any organizations already identified to welcome and honor you when you reach So Calif? Could include a whole group of local RJers welcoming you.

all the best to you! and your project really seems incredible and very interesting!

two friends of mine actually walked across the country last summer for a charity--from san diego to my hometown--and they said it was really an awesome experience.

One step at a time, guy!

Take an umbrella. You may think it crazy but in my hiking days a golf umbrella was amazing in muggy summer rain.

And be sure to keep us all posted.
