I don't get how the game is plaid. All I know is that it's on when I go to the gym and it def helps get me through 40 min on the treadmill. Sweet jeezus are rugby players hot!

A few years back there was an online rugby game; this video was done as a "rugby 101" for new players.

But yes, ruggers are HOT, and fuck all if it isn't a hell of a lot of fun to play. I'm trying to rework my schedule this fall so I can actually play with the team I sort of helped start.

Guys, ya need to learn the rules - the sport is even more awesome when you actually have some idea of what the hell is going on out there (besides just meat on the hoof).

I was invited to play for a gay rugby team based in Minneapolis. Considering that would involve me driving from Mankato to North Minneapolis every once in awhile, that couldn't happen for me. Gas is expensive.

Also, I almost watched said team play a game at pride, but missed it. Then I managed to watch them walk around shirtless. Then I saw my senior English teacher. Then I found out that his husband plays for the rugby team. icon_redface.gif

Today in the gym I was watching a rugby match between sets and I saw some guy get clothes lined. It was pretty brutal and deliberate. I don't know the rules but I'm going to guess that's not allowed... I was impressed that it didn't burst out into a brawl. The guy that threw his arm up to clothes line obviously did it on purpose.

I want to learn how to play rugby too, but I feel like I will get split in 2 on the field :-(

I really looking forward to the world cup in NZ (only 3 hours ahead of Japan so I can catch most of the games) starting in Sept. Just a shame I won't get to see any of the live games this time round.
