lol, I'm retired. More free time, and have been on the site for a number of years posting regularly before retirement.

As well, a post with just a lol is a post and they add up. icon_wink.gif

I'm not a prolific poster (but then again, I just started, working on that momentum), but I have a theory that they have several monkeys on their command who write all the witty comments for them. Kind of like their own version of Krusty's Mr. Teeny from the Simpsons.

I still have less than 2,000.... but I'd say getting into uh, debates, with people on a topic that you're passionate about can help add 10, 15 posts in one thread. LOL.

And so does very 'yes' or 'no' in a guy above you thread and very posted video in a music thread.

With Art_Deco at over 17,000, meninlove nearing 16,000 and paulflexes over 14,000, Caslon better find his way back here pretty soon or else his record will be taken over. Who will be the first to 20,000?

His post count is actually per day. A running talley would collapse the RJ Servers.

The why? - Letting the voices in my head post whatever and whenver they want, cuts down on trips to Home Depot for jumbo sized garbage bags, drop cloths, and replacement chains for my chainsaw. The how? - It's a cooperative effort between my more literate dissociative identities.

I find rapid fire posters...fascinating. I think of guys that have come on the scene years after I started here, and have 7 or 8 times as many posts than I do.

I learn a lot more from asking questions and listening then I do from talking.

I'm like meninlove. I'm retired as he is, but also disabled. So I spend most of my day in this chair. I do a little biking, and visit the gym, plus have tons of social things I do. But for most of the day, I'm right here.

And actually I'm over 17 thousand posts. I may hold the current record here, now that Caslon has disappeared (18k+ at last count). I remember when he hadn't reached 10,000, and he used to say that he wouldn't chat with anyone having less than 1000 posts.

I do miss him. Does anyone know the story there?

The real question is: How much of what they post is worth reading?
