I grew up in Savannah, and my family still lives there. It depends on what you like to do.
1. Great if you like the water it's close to the beach (Tybee Island), and you have plenty of rivers all around. You can take dolphin tours, go parasailing, and do a ton of other fun stuff. The sun's intense, and it's extremely humid.
2. If you all like fresh (very fresh) sea food, I highly recommend the Crab Shack, it's an open air dining restaurant overlooking the marsh on the way out to Tybee. It's good, good stuff!
1. Savannah's a very old city, a number of historic house tours, ghost tours, carriage tours. Downtown shopping located on Broughten Street. Food, gift shops, and bars on River Street, Bay Street and in City Market. If you're downtown at night, be careful, stay in well lit, heavily travelled areas.
2. Paula Dean's restaurant is there (I've never eaten there). You'd probably need a reservation or a few hours set aside to wait in line.
Hope that helps a bit.
