LOL - as opposed to female, I agree!

Hotness and good contribution to the forums, basically. Though I can't vote because I haven't got round to verifying!!

Members who have threads advocating them for MOTD, because that makes all the other candidates less deserving.

I get rock-hard when a guy spends his entire profile text talking about how masculine he is, and how you'd never know he's gay, and how he's srsly not effeminate in any way. Those guys are SO much hotter than the ones who use that space to describe themselves and what they enjoy doing.

I won't answer for me, but for everyone else judging by the results: abs. fml.

    LOL @ what jim_stl said. You're funny.

Im looking for All different qualities. But he has to at least show that he is into working out / sports / outdoor activities. Even though this is a gay site, it is still after all, a fitness site.

With that said, personality and dedication to improve oneself is always important.

omg I am like describing my ideal BF or something icon_redface.gif I'm sorry.

Do they describe themselves as straight acting too? Because, you know, straight guys list masculinity as an accomplishment icon_smile.gif

Today's MOTD (Don Guerilla de Sodom) doesn't show abs. (FWIW.)

They do describe themselves that way! Although, now that you mention it, there are plenty of "straight" guys who spend all of their waking hours proclaiming their own masculinity. (cf. "Jersey Shore" or its new UK spinoff "Geordie Shore")

True. He doesn't show them on here, but if you see any of his profiles on Manhunt, Dudes Nude, grindr, Scruff, Bear411, DaddyHunt or a4a, you get to see his abs and a whole lot more! And if you meet him
In person you'll find he has trouble keeping his clothes on.

Like you'd know! You were still in a light roofie induced coma when I left you ass-up in that port-a-pottie during Market Days. Anyways, I only date-rape through my zipper in case they regain conciousness and I have to make a run for it.icon_rolleyes.gif

So explain how CuriousjockAZ gets voted in regularly - and we vote for him every time we notice he's in the running. Tongun18 was MOTD as well. I could list others, but I think that will do for now.

I agree, but some of the guys who are labeled "conservative" really don't post much conservative at all. I do think the counter-example is true. I recall someone being selected who does not show any interest in health or fitness, forum postings consisting of making outlandish, divisive statements, publicly says how he dislikes other RJ members, but is strongly liberal.

I'm not going to vote for a jerk, even if he's sex on a stick*. That said, I suspect looks override personality or politics for a lot of MOTD voters, so the guy you're mentioning here was probably scorching hot.

*one may only use the phrase "sex on a stick" while imitating Lafayette from True Blood.

They have to be able to cook.

Really though I just about never vote, I forget about MOTD even being up there majority of the time. I usually toss out a vote if I see a campaign thread (it reminds me that MOTD exists) and if I like the person enough, either through personal correspondence, forum presence or a surprisingly interesting profile.

As much as I dislike campaigning, it does work, and some people do deserve the recognition. But sending out messages without asking the person ahead of time. Some people don't want that.
