VERY nice, gbob! Your hands are very expressive and full of emotion.

I'd love to hear you play on the old Heintzman cabinet grand I have in the livingroom.

There weren't enough keys on my keyboard to finish it icon_sad.gif. I knew someone would mention that LOL

I've been trying to learn this piece since forever, it played a big part in motivating me reaching higher levels, but i never learned how to play it! just the first two lines! :S

But you did it perfectly! BRAVO my friend! icon_smile.gif

U should buy a piano or an electric one, u will feel the difference in your skill level advancing very fast!!

Very nice. I have never heard this one before, but it put me in mind of the Chopin's Minute Waltz, particularly toward the end. I bet you would be good at that too.

WHAT? Your keyboard is not a full 88?? Sure looks like it is..and you sure as hell play like it is. VERY good!! I could NEVER play Chopin...well, there IS one short etude I can play and LOVE. My fingers get all twisted up when I try to do MOST of Chopin's work.

That's why you're on my "hot" list.
Yeah, you need a full sized weighted keyboard at least, if not a real piano. I personally have a Yamaha P80 which is decently priced.
The Chopin Scherzo no.2 is unplayable on your keyboard. icon_lol.gif

    Good job.
-mm.13-16 is one phrase followed by groups of 2-4-2 after that. It's the only substantial melody Chopin has in the A section. Remember Chopin's melodies only come to life with a push/pull approach. Tempo should remain constant, but the harmonies control all the tension. Nice finger work in the scalar passages.

-Remember Chopin was notorious for giving these ambiguous intros. It's important to take time to really relish in the idea of 'mood setting'. Some would argue that this opening is a 6/4 pedal point; I would agree. Schubert used the 6/4 technique frequently in impromptus, and what'd ya know he was amazing at his 'lieder'. Kind of gives justification to the middle section.

    Hey guys,

Thanks for all the wonderful comments. I actually normally play either on a Steinway Grand or on Yamaha uprights at school. The reason why I resorted to using my keyboard (which doesn't have enough keys) is because my home piano is sooo bad and terribly out of tune.

Gotta say though, playing on a (cheap) electric keyboard and making it sound nice is SO difficult! The tone balance is awkward, there is less variation in dynamics, the pedals aren't too accurate and the keys are so flimsy it's easy to play the wrong notes.

Anyways, if any of you guys have problems with the piece feel free to ask, though I'm not an expert icon_smile.gif. Piano is just a hobby of mine.

All the more reason for you to try a decent electric full sized keyboard with weighted keys. No need for tuning the piano and the pedals are so much better. I've had mine for about 8 years and it's still good.

Finish it. I love the second theme. It is sooo romantic. It is even more orgasmic when a cute guy plays it. I'm real sorry but I have a thing for guys who play the piano. It is the quickest way to get to my heart. icon_redface.gificon_redface.gificon_redface.gif

I wish you could play that on a grand without the clicking of the keyboard...but anyway I enjoyed listening it was very beautiful. I'm a clarinetist but love the piano.
