I just love every word of this song : ) I wish someday I find that special someone. ( I know it's lame...but that's just how I was raised I guess)

Good song but I prefer Death Cab For Cutie's version:

Prefer DCFC's version too. Is that the original or did Death Cab remake it?

The original is Death Cab's. Their frontman, Ben Gibbard, wrote it.

If you like that song, you should check out some other Death Cab for Cutie tracks. Ben Gibbard is a phenomenal songwriter, and many of their other ballads as just as emotional.

Personally, I always thought "I Will Follow You Into the Dark" was a bit morbid. My partner and I dated long distance for the first two years, and I used to crank this song in my headphones on flights home from seeing him...

I love this song. I would listen to it when my closest friend died last year.

I'm sorry for your lost buddy. It's a very emotional song. I find comfort in listening to music like these, instead of mainstream radio.

I personally like this version, DCFC's version is a bit off for me, but still good regardless.
