Long version - TL;DR below: I'm leaving in the next few months for boot camp (navy) and find myself with not a lot to do except sit on my ass. I run, I eat, I prepare to leave, but that's about it. I'm not dating as I don't wanna get involved with someone and then leave 'em in the dust. So with that in mind I play video games when not with friends etc/etc.

The list of games I wanna play is dwindling though! Anyone have any good old-timey games for the psx or snes? RPGs preferably icon_biggrin.gif.

TL;DR: I need suggestions for video games to play - preferably RPGs and for the snes or psx.

OH! and does anyone remember Myst? If there are any games sort of like that out there that would be awesome too.

the first grandia game was pretty good for psx, or arc the lad. or if you haven't played FF IV-IX, I'd recommend those icon_smile.gif

Breath of fire 3 for original playstation is amazing. I still think back on playing that game and wish I would come across it at the pawn store. And Wild arms was one of my favourite rpgs which is worth checking out. They're both very japanese style rpgs though.

Monkey Island was a good series of games too. Paper mario is a rpg adventure game that was pretty inventive and fresh.

Lufia II is one of the best RPGs ever made in my opinion

Earthbound is another RPG that is one of a kind that everyone should experience

One of my favourite games of all time is Final Fantasy 6 (aka FF III) for SNES. They re-released it for PSX with CGI scenes.

I played so many RPGs for PSX, and they mostly all just blur together. Final Fantasy Tactics was great, and there are a couple of other tactics-like games for PSX, like Vandal Hearts and that other one fuck I don't remember the name.

Xenogears was good, I agree. Persona II sticks out in my mind as a neat and weird old RPG.

Ones I strongly don't recommend are Dragon Warrior 7 and Jade Cocoon. I wish I had those hours back!

Oh, I recommend the site www.gamerankings.com You can choose the console, and the genre and sort all of the games by aggregated reviews of lots of review sites.

I've played through most final fantasy games already haha, and yes xenogears *is* awesome. However - I can't find disc 1 of it anywhere. icon_sad.gif

I'm thinking Earthbound it will be - or legend of dragoon. Or if I can find a translation of star ocean that would be cool too.

Oh, and at whoever said to go play a sport. I never said I wasn't active - I'm allowed to have my nerd side too icon_razz.gif.

Anyways! Thanks for all the replies icon_smile.gif

Suikoden 1 and 2 for PSX are nice gems, they go back to back so play them in that order.

Secret of Mana is of course good, the second one is even better. Super Mario RPG, of course these are obvious and you've probably played them already lol

Should I get a glass dildo? I’ve been using vibrators these years, and I wonder whether glass dildo feels smoother. Is it safe? Where can I get one?

Point and click adventures are your thing? Well you can get Broken Sword on steam for 5 bucks http://store.steampowered.com/app/57640/. Also, Sam and Max, Wallace and Grommit, and the Monkey Island series.

Earthbound is prob my fav rpg, to all that suggested it, you are automatically sexier lol.

    But yeah I would suggest:
    Earthbound
    Ff 7-9
    Xenogears
    Ff 4 and 6
Super Mario rpg (real fun but don't expect an epic story)
    Ff tactics
    Chrono trigger

Many of these have been suggested already, but I had to second them.

BTW if u have a ds there are tons of great rpgs for it. I am playing the ffiv ds remake and its really good. Also if u have a gamecube get super paper Mario thousand year door.

Ahh psx and snes rpgs... It was the golden age of rpgs before companies started to outweigh style over substance.

I'm having the same conflict (leaving for the air force soon), I've been getting more into my weight training lately, but on my down time Chrono Trigger, Dragon Age, and Dragon Siege are some of the big ones i've been playing through. Okami is a really good game too. but if you want something to run your life, Oblivion is the way to go icon_twisted.gif

You're my new hero. I was going to say Suikoden. Or even Romance of Three Kingdoms is pretty interesting.

If you like MMORPGs...Tibia (atleast when I used to play) was pretty cool.

The only reason I played past Suikoden 2 was solely for the storyline. I needed to know what was going on in Harmonia.

Super Mario RPG for the SNES is an awesome game. The storyline is rather funny, and the gameplay while not that challenging is quite fun.

Ohhhh goodness, I forgot about super mario RPG...and paper mario. Hmmmm - more things to look for xD xD.

For everyone that loves Final Fantasy Tactics there's a great mod out there for
it (just get an emulator and make an ISO of your psx cd.) It's pretty difficult though, so you have to know the game pretty well
