Why don't they make movies like this any more?

It seems like so many movies these days are based around sexual relationships rather than actual connection. Maybe I'm just a sappy old fool, but I miss stuff like this:

    "It's not easy
    To find someone who cares
It's not easy to find magic in pairs"

You should watch How to Train Your Dragon. I was surprised at how much I loved it.

    to answer your question:
because we americans, in our state of arrogance and expectations of instead gratification, allow ourselves to be pandered to as consumers of all things, including sex. once that level of self involvement has been reached, there just isn't time for relationships and the effort and mystery that form them.
