Thanks for the link, if this policy is repealed, this would make my life a whole lot easier. Being in the military and married is not an easy thing. Especially when the Feds consider my husband nothing more than being equal to a boyfriend.

Props to the Log Cabin Republicans for their victory. Repeal of DADT was crucial to the whole house of cards.

    LOG CABIN REPUBLICANS, Plaintiff,
    v.
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ROBERT M. GATES,
SECRETARY OF DEFENSE, in his official capacity,
    Defendants.

    716 F. Supp. 2d 884 (C.D. Cal. 2010)

"In September 2010, District Judge Virginia Phillips ruled in Log Cabin Republicans v. United States of America, 716 F.Supp.2d 884 (C.D.Cal. 2010), that the DADT policy violated the 5th Amendment equal protection rights of gays who sought to serve in the military, and issued a worldwide injunction against its enforcement."

FYI - the Log Cabiners had NOTHING to do with the "repeal of DADT".
DADT was repealed in the CONGRESS.
Thanks to the votes of the Democrats in the Congress.
Almost every single Republican voted AGAINST repealing DADT.

The Log Cabiners pursued ending DADT through the COURTS.
The law was repealed in the CONGRESS - by the Democrats.

Thank you. Though I will add a minor change and say it was mostly Democrats, as some Republicans did support its repeal. But only a handful.

That's a pretty serious lapse in memory (not you Rick). Perhaps someone should consider adding some cinnamon to their diet.
