What is true confidence? When you have met a guy with a magnetic charisma, what was it about him that stood out? Looks aren't enough... what is the secret to real, solid confidence?

cold saidTo me, someone with attractive confidence is someone who isn't overly extroverted. Someone that smiles and looks you in the eye and isn't nervous to say what's on their mind, but, in the same breath, has the humility and self-assuredness to be quiet, listen and not feel like a conversation has to revolve around them.

Someone with charisma is someone who can make a conversation about nothing into something engrossing, fast and fun. Someone who is subtle, witty and makes me think.

Failing that, an apt and well time Simpsons reference will steal my heart.

I approve of this post as the all-engrossing answer. Thread solved!

This is an excellent topic!! Can't wait to read the GOOD posts!!

To me, having self confidence is developed when you have accomplished goals that you have set for yourself and feeling proud for what you have done with your life. Having a curious mind and the ability to satisfy that curiosity also speaks volumes about how you feel about yourself.
Throw in some intelligence, some humility and some compassion and you've got a good start.
