    Hey all,

I'm 24 years old and still in the closet but I'm wanting to branch out a little. The problem is that I'm from Cincinnati, Ohio - not the best place for gay guys to hang out - and I just got back from the Peace Corps and I've never been one to just hit up the club scene on my own and find soemone. I want to meet guys but I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking for. Perhaps I at least hope to find someone to connect with somehow but i have no idea how to go about this. Any advice?

    1) move from Ohio.

    2) come out of the closet

    3) join a social group that does an activity you enjoy (such as sports, card games, etc).

    4) ???

    5) profit.

I understand why Chainers is saying to move from Ohio (I did twice, although it sucked me right back in), but you don't have to uproot yourself immediately to lead a happy homo life in Ohio. And I say this living in extreme northwest Ohio. We have corn and cows, and very few gays.

Check out this site http://cincinnati.gaycities.com/ and see if you can get some ideas. Go to a bar or club and hang out. You will be instantly recognized as a new face (fresh meat) and will have no problem meeting new people.

Cincinnati pride is this weekend! Go down and walk around, check out the events that are going on.

You don't have to come busting out of the closet just yet. But if you want to meet people, you got to get out and do it. You'll figure it out as you go.
