I'm going to wait on it a while. I've already enough tabs always open on my browser. It would just be even more time wasted to keep checking to see who has done and said what.

    Extremely relevant:
    http://theoatmeal.com/comics/websites_stop

Read #6 in particular. Over and over again.

    Otherwise:
Google Plus has been okay so far. The "circles" idea is fun, allowing me to choose what lists / "circles" I want to share certain information with. I like that it integrates well with Picasa Web Albums. Other than that though, there's nothing really special about it that makes me want to share information. It's just another social networking site to keep up with at this point. I support Google for the most part though, so if this is their next advertising honeypot, maybe they'll start piping better ads to my phone when I visit websites on my Droid. icon_biggrin.gif

I'm not into doing social networking things when they first start. Could be the next friendster or something. Let me know how it's doing in half a year and we'll talk.

I have an account, its nice becuase when you share something, you pick who you share it with in a really easy way.

For example, If i have a gay thing to share, I can choose to only let people in my "gay" circle see it... Or If I only want to see a newsfeed about techy stuff, I just click my "techy people" circle.

    Photo sharing is extremely easy.

You create circles of friends, for example, theres certain things I want my co-workers to see, and certain things I NEVER want them to see. I really like the concept.

It really fixes every privacy problem facebook ever had.

Has anyone figured out how to post on someone's "wall" in Google+? I can see how posting on other comments work easily enough but I can't quite figure out how to post on someone's wall so others can see it.

Am I missing something here? HALP!!!!!!!!!

Functionality, it has the same thing as Facebook has. Except, that they designed it so that is much easier to use and it's obvious on what you're sharing and to who.

It looks like Google took the "Apple" approach by making it super easy and giving it a sleek look. Otherwise, from what I've seen, they about the same. I do see this taking off though because of its ease of use.

It's more like twitter in that respect. You have to mention people in your own post. So if I wanted to "post on your wall" I'd say @Cobalt or +Cobalt and it would post to your wall.

The benefit is that you can "follow" people without being in their circles. Granted, you'd only see their public posts.

This works well with the circles, because you won't have them mixing unless they are also already friends. When people @ or + you, you see it but other people do not unless you share it with them.

This works well for my friends who might come by and offend my mother icon_razz.gif

This is my favorite part of Google+. I always hated when people would post things on my wall on facebook, so disabled the feature long ago. At least on Google+, people won't bitch that I'm antisocial because they can't put unapproved things on my profile.

The part I hate? People able to share anything they want. If you post a picture that you wish to remain private to your particular circle, someone in your circle can just share it with all their friends with a single click anyway. There's no privacy in it. Just helps to keep in mind that if you want something to be kept private, don't post it on the Internet.

sounds promising. This is precisely the reason why I deactivated my facebook. I realized I had several circles of Friends and family and they wern't always mixing well...

I don't see the point of social networks. Do I really need to know how my friend feels about every dumb thing, or what he's doing, where he's at, or how much he likes lolcatz?

Social networks just seem pointless to me. Me and my friends don't talk on the internetz. We actually see each other in real life every other day or so. Why do we need the internet to complicate things? or to talk to each other? Dur dur.

I only like chat rooms, to meet new people. I feel even this forum is stupid...too many opinions..too many disagreements..too much of who fucking cares. icon_lol.gif
