Dang...I forgot to DVR it. Did they keep the main character gay?
In the previews it looks as if they dropped that part of is life.

He was never gay though, just bi, and his sexy-as-hell boyfriend died in the last season. icon_mad.gif

They're reairing the first eppi on about a dozen different channels, about a dozen different times Dustin, search for it.
I'm a lill annoyed that it's on a premium channel. I don't know if it's a good sign for the show.......is it so popular that Starz can bet on it wooing new subscribers or has it dropped in popularity so sharply that BBCA can't justify running it? Russell Davis is still principal writer and producer, that's a plus. I caught the first eppi on tv01 (?) and liked it, I just can't justify paying for it (does that make me a cheap ole bitch?), especially when I'm pretty sure it will probably rerun on BBCA, I'll mooch off somebody elses dish for now, lol.

PS, Barrowman looks good, like he dropped about fifteen lbs, I was impressed :-)

I think it's too soon to tell if Captain Jack will have a love interest of either gender in this series.

I just watched it, and it was pretty good considering...considering it's no longer based soley in the UK. Like the first few episodes of the current season of "Doctor Who", it is obviously trying to appeal the international (mainly US market). However, what they have to keep in mind is that part of what makes it so marketable is its uniquely British quality. I actually preferred the UK segments over the US ones. Having said that, I've enjoyed what I've seen so far, and I will hold out final judgement until the end of the season.

Oh and Jack will be having some man-on-man sex with a one-night stand named Brad, played by Dillon Casey:

All I can say is YUMMMMMM (and he's Canadian too. I'm so proud of my countrymen!!!)

Was I the only one who got a little creeped out when he introduced himself in the morgue as "Dr. Owen Harper, FBI"? Twist the knife a little further, Jack. Ass.

I fell asleep watching it, but I'm not sure if that's just 'cause I was really tired or the show was really boring.

I'll give it a shot again when it's not late at night and I'm prone to pass out in front of the TV.... icon_lol.gif I do like that it has Russel Davies and Kelly Manners behind it, both of whom have worked on other shows I've enjoyed.

I still don't think STARZ has hit the nail on the head with their post-Spartacus attempts at other original series, though. Camelot was so-so, and Torchwood (even if it does end up being entertaining) didn't give me the impression that it's going to be a hit.

It was really SLOW. Missiles firing through windows don't catch my attention any more.

It's a US co-production...I think the gayness will be definitely played down, if not completely missing.

John Barrowman confirmed that there will be "man sex" and a male love interests. That being said, I will miss Ianto icon_sad.gif but having Jack back is great.

Can we all talk about how much of a major ass Rex is? I'd still hit it though.

Also isn't RTD gay? I know Barrowman is, I doubt either one of them would stand for a degayed Jack.

Have been a fan of Captain Jack since he first appeared on Dr. Who. I wasn't crazy about this episode/incarnation of Torchwood.

For those of you not familiar with Captain Jack---

Finally watched the 2nd episode today. This series does have promise. My favorite bit was at the end when they crawled into the Mini and Jack got his vortex manipulator back and they drove off. I'm guessing next week's episode will be good. Anybody else see the 2nd episode?

I thought the first episode was great. But second episode was just okay. But I'm sure it will be epic. John Barrowman is so talented and adorable lol

caught the latest episode friday evening. must say, i think it keeps getting better and better. love when gwen puts on an 'american accent' (later she's horrified at it which was good for a laugh.) i like it not being interrupted by commercials too.

I feel the opposite way. the show is losing me. How much I love season 1 and 2.

I don't like the new american characters as much as Ianto, Owen, or Toshiko. They aren't as campy. But the sex scene with Jack and Brad was great!
