Have been too busy to be online much down here, but a few highlights:

    - Maybe it's the unusual heat, all 90s, but the guys around the outdoor Tiki (Garden) bar where we're staying just will not keep their clothes on, nor in the adjoining pool. I've been here any number of times, never saw it quite so "bathhouse" before. And guys, clothed or not, will just walk up to another guy and give his dick a tug. And around the pool is worse (or better), guys jerking each other off and getting blowjobs. Again, nothing I haven't seen in bathhouses, I guess the difference is I'm watching this from a barstool while having a drink. And no, not naked myself, except when relaxing on a sundeck lounge, overlooking all of this from above.
    - Went to a lovely BBQ yesterday, after a SMART Ride meeting, our reason for being here this weekend. At a private home I'd never visited before, hidden behind walls all around. I could write pages about the place, but just one image should do it: there's a tea house/gazebo that sits on a bridge OVER the pool. On one side of the tea house the pool has 12-foot and 8-foot free waterfalls. I'll have pics of all this when I get back home.
    - Also yesterday had a private tour of the Little White House, also known as the Truman House, a Presidential vacation retreat and meeting spot since the mid 1940s. Still in use today, it serves daily as a museum. We were taken around by a fellow RJer I hadn't met before, the nicest guy. Later that night we invited him to a dinner that we already had scheduled, along with the 2 friends we drove down here with. We all had a wonderful time, and I think hit it off quite well, another new friend I've made through this site.

We reluctantly drive back home tomorrow (Monday).

I flew to Key west on 4th of July morning on a whim to see one of my dearest friends. I think being single again made me need the company of someone who really gets me. I hadn't been to KW in 26 years. It hasn't changed much. One thing for sure... you cannot get a decent bowl of Conch chowder anywhere else.... I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip as much as I did.

Sounds like you're having a great time Art Deco! I love Key West but it sounds like the guys are particularly frisky on your visit. At which guest house are you staying (so I can be sure to book at the same one icon_wink.gificon_smile.gif!?!

We most often stay at New Orleans House, on Duval Street, where we are on this trip.

Well I always do that. Just had dinner here, eaten on the large veranda outside our room, overlooking Duval Street. Though the suite stinks of seafood, the sink piled high with dirty dishes. I think the hotel is supposed to clean them, but maybe I'll get a bill sent to me later. The only thing the kitchen lacks is a dishwasher.

In any case, we had a lovely dinner prepared in our own kitchen by a professional chef, that we ate on the veranda overlooking Duval Street. And we managed to smuggle a female guest into this all-male gay guest house. If we got caught I was prepared to claim she was a drag queen! icon_lol.gif

A nice conclusion to our latest Key West visit. I've contacted another guest house we like, will talk to the owner tomorrow (Mon) for a visit next month in August. I already know the room I want, now it's just a matter of whether he'll give me a good rate. He knows who I am, and I've sent him business his way, so I think he'll be cooperative.

We go down to Key West so often my partner is pressuring me to buy a place there. But I rather like socializing with other guys at the gay guest houses we visit. I enjoy meeting guys more than isolating ourselves in a private home. We're still debating this.
