I watch Python Hunters and a couple of the other shows that are focusing on invasive species in the Everglades. The Burms are the biggest problem, but there is evidence that African rock pythons and reticulateds may be establishing breeding populations. Which would kinda suck because they tend to be quite a bit more ornery.
There is a fear of Burms and ARP's breeding and creating a hybrid. Apparently it's a slight possibility and if that were to happen it would have the best qualities of both parents and it would have no natural predators say for maybe a alligator who acquired the taste of snake. That's a stretch too sense both snakes seem to love baby alligators among other things.
