A month ago, Minnesota hit 103 for the first time since 1987. As in the first time in my lifetime.

Then you and I need to switch addresses then!! I miss winter terribly and after living in Orlando for most of my life now....I have never gotten used to the tropical (and lasting all the way to the end of October....) heat!

Well there is a big difference in wet heat and dry heat. Arizona is hot, but dry. Kentucky is hot and humid, making it 10 times worse!

I'll take heat over cold! It's hot in Tampa. But, if it gets hotter than I like, I just stay in the AC. icon_cool.gif

    Every day during summer.

Its only gonna be 99 here tomorrow and our humidity is actually thru the roof because our monsoon season started.

    You're all pussies.

118 one day last week. So 99 is a nice break.

Everyone here is complaining about the heat. I was out mowing the lawn and doing yard work yesterday and everyone thought I was nuts! It was only 90 degrees out.Of course I am used to the nice a hot 112 degrees or more in Phoenix as I lived there for 7 years. It does not really matter if the heat is dry or humid. Heat is heat!

99, wow, its still 100 now... that would indeed be nice... we aren't scheduled to be under 100 in the forseeable future and I'll be out mowing, weeding and working in it this week.

Right now, according to the news, the highest temperature in NC was 96. But the humidity makes it feel like it's much hotter. While I do love Summer, like the OP stated, I can only take so much of the heat. icon_mad.gif

It is JULY and it IS summer in the northern hemisphere......but seems that our weather has been prone to extremes this past year......here in Columbus, I ran my 14 miles in 95 degree sun-shiny heat....just about 10 degrees above average......I was a sweaty, dripping wet mess....don't underestimate the heat and humidity, keep HYDRATED and give your body a break once in a while....hit a movie theater or just take a cool drive in a nice AC'd car....eat a nice cool salad, drink WATER, not alcohol or sugary drinks....and please put the sunscreen on to protect your skin. ...PS LOVE SEEING ALL THAT H-O-T SKIN! YUM!
