Marriage Vow Pledge - What You May Not Have Seen

    Apparently there was something in the marriage vow pledge, which was signed by several GOP presidential candidates, that was quickly taken off. The preamble of the pledge contained the following text:

    Slavery had a disastrous impact on African-American families, yet sadly a child born into slavery in 1860 was more likely to be raised by his mother and father in a two-parent household than was an African-American baby born after the election of the USA's first African-American President.

    So some Repubs long for the "good old days" when black Americans were slaves, huh?
    No wonder the Repub's "Southern strategy" is still being used today.
