I studied architecture in college, and I am always amazed by the detail in movie sets... even CGI. It is like you are really there; whether the treasure caves in PotC, or the futuristic cities of Metropolis and Blade Runner, or the inner reaches of the human body in Fantastic Voyage.

I would like to find a good website... or magazine or even a book, that will take you "behind the scenes" to see the actual sets and learn how they design, build, and dress an empty sound stage so that it becomes another world.

That sounds really interesting. I don't know any but all I seem to see are the behind the scenes bonuses in movie DVDs. The sci fi ones always has great CGI footage but I guess that kind of thing isn't substantial enough.
