Yes i have used tribulus and still using it at this stage. It does boost testosterone levels and helps with the growing process in the muscle. It gives a bit of an extra boost to go a bit heavier and make u go longer. And that does not include sexual drive. Yes it does make u more sexual and boosts the drive too.

Should i say more?

Turk,

I have used it. I will tell you that the scientific evidence to support it is slim to none. However, a lot of guys swear by it. It seems to work by increasing LH which results in testosterone release. When I have used it and found it to be helpful it was in combination with other things like Maca, and avena sativa. With those things combined it did seem to work somewhat.

Personally, in my opinion this is something that can be used to bring testosterone up to baseline after steroids or after you've used some prohormone that affected testosterone levels or after being on prescription medications like antihistamines that lower testosterone. I don't think it is going to cause enough of an increase above normal testosterone levels to have any anabolic effect whatsoever. There are better options for that.

Hope this helps.

I'm on my second cyle of a tribulus/ZMA stack. I've noticed slightly better results from weight training when on this stack. Tribulus is not a miracle product by any means but I feel it gives a little extra boost.

As an aside, I definitely notice an increase in sex drive while on Tribulus. Although I have not measured my testosterone levels, I think it is reasonable to conclude it helps elevate the amount of testosterone in the body.

I don't know if you supplement with whey protein or creatine or what your overall nutritional intake is. I'd say make sure your eating right, then add whey and/or creatine. After that, if you want to try additional supplements then tribulus is worth a shot. I know this is off topic, but the whey and creatine probably has at least twice the benefit as the tribulus.

I'm still 18 and i gave it a shot (TRIBEX GOLD) and yeah I defn. saw lil' johnny poking up a lil more than usual throughout the day. Try looking at ZMA (Zing magnesium aspertate sp*) It's a supplement that helps athletes (usually deficient) get into a stage in the sleep cycle that produces testosterone for longer periods of time therefore producing more testosterone.

I was just going to post a question about this same very thing. I want to buy the latest or I guess the best supplement that helps boost your testosterone levels ... something that is THE closest to steroids but without being illegal and without the bad side effects, of course. I was just going to ask: what do you guys recommend? Also, can someone explain to me how it should be taken (like how long a cycle should last and how much of break one should take in between cycles?). Thank you for anyone that helps!

Tribulus is awesome - if you need it.

There is some preliminary and plenty of anecdotal evidence to suggest it increases androgens, sexual function, mood, endurance and recovery. but i haven't seen much to make me think taking it long term is particularly beneficial if your healthy.

If you think you could do with a bit more manlyness i wouldnt just rely on tribulus. but if your keen give it a chop.

Just make sure the supplement you buy is sorced from bulgaria or slovakia and contains the leaves and stems not the fruit or roots. even though the plant grows throughout europe, india and australia research has shown the leaves and stems of tribulus grown in bolgaria to be the richest source of the steroidal saponins primarily responsible for the effect your looking for. go for a supplement that contains tribulus terrestris standardised to contain no less than 45% protodioscin to be sure its effective.

If youve got cholestasis taking tribulus is prob not a great idea.

Getting into a combo of tribulus, damiana, eleutherococcus and rhodiola for about a week leading up to a festival or big nite is the way to go haha.

Tribulus does work but not every product with tribulus works. Hmmmm what does that mean?

Tribulus is sensitive to exposure to air. Any product that has the tribulus in capsules in a bottle loses potency fast. I suggest Tribestan that has the pills nicely sealed from air.

And as with any testosterone booster the questions that come up are:
1- do you really need it?
if you're under 30, probably not
2- If you already have enough testosterone... what do you think your body is going to do with this extra testosterone once it realizes it is there? IE, expect to lose effectiveness in 1-2 weeks and conversion to testosterone metabolites like DHT perhaps? I am no expert but I hear the body converts what it considers to be surplus test to other things.
3- If your nutrition sucks,. if you're sleeping 5 hours a night, if you're drinking, smoking, and working out 7 times a week... with no decent breaks etc, more than likely you will not see an ounce of difference from using a tribulus product.

So yes it works, but only if you know what you're doing....
