Have any of you heard of "zig-zag"?

    From what I have heard, it's where you do something like eat more calories on alternating days. Do I have that right? Does it work?

    I'm doing this program right now and it really has worked well for me. Unfortunately I'm not gaining any muscle at all like these diets claim to do, but I am losing a lot of fat. I've gone down from 170 to 155lbs in about 6 weeks.

    I beg to differ. You are probably building muscle, but you don't notice it because it takes longer to build muscle than burn fat. As your fat burns away, you'll start seeing the definition of the muscle you built.

    As for the zig-zag idea, I haven't heard of it, but I do use the principle of alternating low and high calorie days...not on purpose, though. I just don't count calories.

    I've been gauging by my strength, which has not changed.
