Does this remind you of anybody you know?
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-partisan/post/bachmann-tosses-all-reason-aside/2011/07/14/gIQAhx76DI_blog.htmlMy grandmother was illiterate. She was cossetted in an impregnable ignorance that made her confident in her judgment and unassailable in her opinions. She died many years ago, but I fear she has come back . . . as Michele Bachmann.
    ...
For all I know, Bachmann is right and the predicted debt ceiling calamity will be another Y2K “problem,” when computers the world were predicted to crash at the stroke of midnight, Jan. 1, 2000. That did not happen; many experts were wrong. But the experts are not always wrong or not even usually wrong, and even when they are, they can supply reasons for their mistake. What is scary about Bachmann is that she has done away with reason itself. She believes what she believes because she believes it. I have seen this before. Grandma, welcome back.

It is impossible to argue with somebody who ignores the logic of words.

She can't toss aside something she seems never to have possessed. Or if she did possess it at one time, she tossed it aside long ago and has never bothered to retrieve it.

Bachmann wins Ames poll. The GOP has officially regressed to the 1840's Know Nothing Party.icon_mad.gif

If she ever becomes the GOP nominee, may I have a show of hands who's NOT voting for her?

Well the TBaggers are getting their wish with Bachmann winning the straw poll. What a sad sad state of American politics this represents. Stupid people !!! Imagine too, that these mostly lower to moderate income people would vote for this woman who recently said that we should totally do away with minimum wage laws and that if we did, unemployment would soon disappear. WHAT ? Where in hell did she get the information to back that statement up ? Yet these people would vote for her. What the hell has happened to American politics, the world is watching in sheer amazement. LOL !!
