How much and when to eat on days you don't work out? Or how to apply Scrawny to Brawny principles.

Fresh from reading Scrawny to Brawny, I'm eager to apply its nutrition principles to my regimen, namely consuming more calories dosed in more multiple meals and, on workout days, consuming shakes before/during/after workout to maximize anabolic/minimize catabolic effects. The advice mostly makes sense to me and hews more or less to my eating habits the past few months although I haven't been quite as disciplined.

My questions relates to eating on days you don't work out. Scrawny to Brawny advises on these these days simply to skip the shakes but doesn't, I don't think, specify calories or provide any of the timing suggestions for carbs, fats, protein that is so minutely prescribes on workout days.

So I'm curious how you eat on days you don't work out? Does your nutrition these days vary significantly from days you work out?

Love to hear from anybody with helpful advise, especially guys who are more ectomorphic.

Try something and stick with it for 2-3 months, then record your progress. If you're going in the right direction, keep doing what you're doing. If not, change something and try again.

In other words, find out what's best for YOUR body...not what some book tells you your body needs.

    Best of luck! icon_biggrin.gif
