Just wondering if there are any Broadway or theatre lovers around here? If so what are some of your favorite shows?

I have a college degree in Theatre, have appeared on stage, not sure if that meets your requirement.

I love Broadway musicals. I guess my sentimental favorites are Company because I ran follow spot for it. Also Dames at Sea because I did the pyrotechnics and once again the follow spot, which was written into the story.

And finally the drama The Runner Stumbles. Our theatre got it just weeks after it closed on Broadway, and the author Milan Stitt came to see our production, and said it was better than on Broadway. He was especially impressed with the background music that the Broadway production didn't have, which was originally composed, recorded, and run during the performances, by -- me! icon_biggrin.gif

I'm a Broadway musical nerd! Love the classics and the modern shows. Too many to mention except I have to note that my favorite composer is Stephen Sondheim. I love most of his shows including:

    Company
    A Little Night Music
    Sweeney Todd
    Into the Woods
Bounce (a work in progress that I was fortunate enough to see in Chicago)

    Behind the scenes.
    Overhead catwalks.
    Under the festivals.
    All sorts of shows.
    Drama of all kinds.
    The familiar scene.
    Life is but a stage.

I though Wicked was awesome, but otherwise, I haven't really seen any other musicals. I really want to see Book of Mormon though!

I´m sure it´s very unlikely on a site of gay men that you will find any who like musicals.
