Ran a nice loop near home—3.2 miles at 7:47 pace.

Hoping to reach 35 miles this week toward a goal of sustaining something between 40-50 miles per week.

    Nice Job!

I will be running my first 5k ever tomorrow morning at 6:30 AM and I am freaking nervous as all hell!!! I have started running 3 miles at the gym for the past three weeks but that's been on the elliptical so it will be interesting to see if I can do it.

    Good luck tomorrow!

That nervousness will come in handy. Just hold back a little at the start and build speed after the first mile. You'll do great and since it's the first race, you'll set your first PR!

Thanks! I am running with a coworker so I am hoping that will help with the nerves since it is her's and my first 5k to do. I have no idea what I will be able to get for my PR but I am hoping I can at least finish in under 40 minutes.

Ran 6 miles. I wore my compression sleeves and ran out and back on the bike path. I messed up on my turn around so I probably ran 6.1 46:42 which is about 7:40 pace. I started out over 8 minute pace, so I know I was moving toward the end.

Hey Zox—compression sleeves for legs or arms? Do you notice a difference in recovery?

Guys, you should all get NIKE + for your iPods, then we can all race each other. It tracks your distance and pace. You can make challenges for farthest and fastest, or one time races. It's fun, and motivating.

I do a challenge every month with ddt8665, but we could use some more participants!

Quite impressive guys. I wish I could still run that fast. I could do that 10 years ago without much trouble, but now a 9 minute mile pace feels pretty fast. *sigh*

But I'd like to do a triathlon, so I'm trying to work back up to perhaps 8 minute miles.

Pulled off 16 miles today, the longest since breaking my foot in May. Phew! There is still hope.icon_smile.gif

For my legs. I am recovering much faster in my legs, but I am really trying not to push it. I was going to race in the morning but I am not going to and give my legs a rest.
