I am a huge fan of this series and cannot wait for part 5 to come out, hopefully sometime this century LOL. I just recently gotten hold of RE 1 remake and can i fust way WTF is happening with those really fast zombies ?! They keep killing me !

But back to the post at hand. I love the first three games of the playstation series, plus the outbreak files. RE 4 though I have mixed feelings about as it was more of an action game with little bearing on the story arch that the first three games and RE Code Veronica, which I also loved incidently as it added heaps to the plot and was actually interesting to watch unfold.

Which game scared you the most while playing it ? To me it is a toss up between RE 2 and 3, with CV right behind. The Licker in RE 2, when I first encountered him in the hallway in the police station was a real OG WTF moment for me, and the Nemesis in part 3 was always making be nervous as I wandered around the game, especially when I was low on ammo and health.

Hi. I am a fan of the series too, even when I have not played all the titles (just the first three for the PS1 and a little part of the RE4 in a friend's house).

When the RE5 comes out to the market I'll try to get it, it looks like it will have a lot more scary things than the RE4 (wich was more like an action game just as you said).

And about the 5 part of the series, what do you know about the "thing" that turns people into zombies? I mean... it is not suposed to be the T (or G) virus, neither "las plagas"... so, what do you think that could be it?

And, if we're talking about survival horror games, what series is best (scarier): "Resident Evil" or "Silent Hill"?

    Silent Hill!

Hell even the film was better.

I'm also a big fan of the series (and the movies icon_redface.gif ), my favorite one from the Psone is RE3, Nemesis was just bad ass. But my absolute favorite is RE4, even though it strayed too far from the original formula, I see it as a necessary change. the important thing was that they managed to keep the atmosphere immersive and tense. That's what I miss the most from the old games, the tank-like controls HAD to go, as well as the unnecessary backtracking.
As for RE5, I have big expectations for that game, among the things I'd like to see:
-Jill! They HAVE to bring her back! Chris and Jill were the main characters in the first game so seeing Chris as one of the characters in RE5 gives me hope, plus if Ada was included in RE4, why can't we have Jill in 5? Jill is way hotter!! icon_razz.gif
-This one is kinda crazy but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I want to fight in Racoon City! Maybe it could be included as a flashback or something, seeing that the game will take place in Africa. It would be so cool to revisit that place in all its 3d glory.
-I'm also hoping that they keep the flow of the game the way it used to be. No stages this time, please!
-RE4-like bosses is something I want to see again. They were huge and imposing, definitely one of the best things in that game.
The rest is pretty much already confirmed, like the aiming from RE4 and more melee attacks for Chris.

I gotta agree, RE4 was my favorie by far. I wish the others had the same control scheme and the look was top notch. I had to go buy the Wii Edition and the control was so perfect I had no issue playing through again. I want to hear more about RE5 before I go dropping cash for it (plus I need a PS3 I guess which I'm not a fan of).

I am also a huge fan of the silent hill series as well, and the movie just freaked me out LOL ! Silent Hill 2 is on par with RE 2 for me as being one of the best direct sequels in a game ever created.

I just beat 2 + 4 recently and they're both awesome. I loved how scary the chainsaw guys are in 4.

Silent Hill is super fun too. I just bought 2 + Origins. Beat Origins it was pretty sweet. 4 scared the hell out of me.

I loved the games, and I love the movies. Still haven't seen the new movie yet...
