    As always a few kernels of truth.


    there are no guarantees in life. If anyone thinks they can engage in risky behavior without risk, well they have not lived on planet earth.

    What is more relevant for gay men is that oral gonorrhea is not as simple as the Suprax/Zithromax (party pack). So if you think you can do what you want and get an illegal supply of antibiotics to treat yourself, you are mistaken.

    The good news.
    There are still plenty of antibiotics that work on N gonorhea, and adding Rifampin works

    In addition the Quinolone resistant isolate seen in the U.S that prompted the change from Ciprofloxacin to 3rd generation Cephalosporins seems to be in decline . And at least for N gonorhea selective pressure seems to be the driving force.
