Murdoch has already been irreparably damaged as a political force in Britain - and the scandal is spreading to the U.S.

First he was hated by his homeland of Australia...now he is hated by the UK...next up is the US.

If NewsCorp in any way had stepped over any boundaries following the 9/11 victims it's a done deal for FOX and his his empire

As a True Blue Aussie the real thing, and not some cheap import. I have never ever beheld any hate towards Rupert, nor do I know anyone who hates him as you say.

The Op must just be projecting his own hate; and pray tell, what media dose he read?icon_rolleyes.gif

But you are blaming hm for another's actions.

I'm sure you still blame Bush for the dreadful state of America, when the blame now lays with Obama.

So Murdoch's not responsible for the organization he's in charge of? World class corporate governance and accountability. Either he knew, or he should have known.

This response from the so called TB Aussie is totally predictable and laughable

The Murdoch press in Australia is disliked intensely for its biased reporting and conservative agenda

Next - the shock jocks who spew hatred and racism. are in line to fall - the public have at last said 'enough' - and have wrested control from the bullies

Though I do think TB Aussie has not read any of the coverage - he does sound genuinely ignorant

I can already see the entire cast of Fox news getting up and nailing themselves to the cross one-by-one shrieking hysterically about the "liberal media" blah-blah-blah.

I would love to see the entire Murdoch empire crumble -but would be very (happily) surprised to see that happen.

possums and your attack of hatred was also predictable, but thank to for your following; but I don't feel the same for youicon_wink.gif Oh But Australia over all is still a conservative country, and after the bastardisation of Gillard, and that Brown person, soon , albeit not soon enough the conservatives will be in power again. But fanatic homosexuals like Bob Brown, would like nothing more than to silance the conservatives in the media; because he fears the truth....

The blame lays in the hands of the executives, albeit Murdock, has been hurt by the scandal. I'll buy a Murdoch paper tomorrow as I did today.

So no, not all Aussies, or even Australians do not have hearts full of hateicon_wink.gif

But this is also not an issue that has gotten my jocks in a knot either.icon_wink.gificon_wink.gif

Not sure how much you understand about the way corporations work, but Rupert Murdoch is CEO of News Corp. The 'E' stands for executive. He is also Chairman (a shoddy situation) and so is responsible for looking out for shareholders' interests. He pretty clearly failed in both capacities.

Either he knew what was happening and should go, or did not know and is therefore incompetent to run a corporation of that size.

Mind you, running an organization on the basis of nepotism and favouritism is hardly the mark of a great leader.

mate to suggest one emails you often, is a massive exaggeration. But All one does, as in the past x2 is send you love, thanking you for your following. But also letting you know, one does not feel the same for you; little to no interest in fact. I will tell you in private why, if you wish, or would you rather one make it public?

Oh and emails is a service we have at RJ for communicating, not all has to be public.icon_wink.gif

Oh you over looked what Bob Hawk and Paul keating did to Oz, and what it took for the Hon John Howard and the tax payer. To get the massive debt labour left us in. The shock it must of been when they found out the real size of it all, a truth that was hidden until the liberals took power, and the first thing Kevin Dudd did was spend all our savings. Thank God John Howard left this counrty in such a good state, that we are still to this day being rewarded for his hard work.

Yes in fact one is indeed 6 generations born to Oz; it pleases one this pissers you off, and we did not come as criminals or cheap imports eithericon_wink.gif We had already made it in Europeicon_wink.gif To this day as in America, we are large land owners.

Oh bring on the election Gillard so we can vote you and that Brown out, and we will.

One feels delegation is a sign of a strong confident leader, as they are not so insecure they need to control everything.

The running of The news of The world was Rebekah Brooks, and she too is now gone. The Guillotine belongs on her head.

NEWS Corp lies about the news. They have been repeatedly caught at it. They have lied about lying. They threaten their talent and writers to make sure that they do not reveal the huge corporate policy of twisting the truth to suit an objective.

And the biggest victims of this evil isn't the liberals... it is the regular conservatives.. conservative used to be a good, healthy viewpoint but now the traditional conservatives are having to buy into the crazy bullshit to get reelected.

So, from your slanted point of view, I assume you are in favor of lying to the public. You support untruths and widespread manipulation. I bet you dont. I feel so sorry for you, TBA.... i dont know how you got so manipulated into being blind to the truth, but I will pray for you. I really hope that one day you will see yourself like others see you and then you will change your viewpoints.

I think the very worst that could happen here is that Murdoch may step down, and at 80 years old that may be long overdue anyway. But the suggestions here that the whole empire will crumble is, at best, wishful thinking.

    I'm sorry about that.
We have a loony U.S. version of TBA who posts here on the blog threads, by the name of RoadbikeRob.
He's a raving foaming at the mouth lunatic just like TBA, and he's also known to send hatefilled emails directly to RJ members he disagrees with politically.
I've recieved a handful of them and I know other RJ members have too.

These crazed right-wingers seem to be unable to control their irrational anger and bitterness.
They also - as you point out - are badly and sadly misinformed on the subject of governments and history.
The fact that they continue to defend Murdoch illustrates just how ignorant they are.

I've never sent an angry email to any RJ member ever.
If you're claiming that I did - you're full of shit.

In my opinion, private emails are for pleasant NON political chatting.

I keep ALL my political debating to the pages of the Forum blog threads.
