Have a few days off again from September 29th - October 3rd and can't decide the choice between Honolulu or New York City. Would be interested in meeting professional guys to hang-out and explore beach or city again. Not interested in partying or doing crazy stuff.

I will choose my travel destination, Hawaii or New York, depending on the vote and responses icon_smile.gif

    So hear goes. Cheers.

It's usually very nice here in September (although the weather has been strange everywhere this year). The days can be warm and then it cools off at night (which is much better than now and August). I've had quite a few friends visit in September and they had a great time.

Oh you will love it. It is around a cool 60s. Very low humidity so you can breath really easily. The air is really fresh and crisp. It is very nice to be here at that time of the year. Any other time I wouldn't recommend you to come to NYC. I would suggest Honolulu instead. I LOVE HAWAII!!!

Hawaii would have to rule over the dirty jungle of NYC, any day.

Go to paradise if you don't like to go to club, bar or parties in NYC.

Trollileo saidAntarctica's pretty nice that time of year...

If you want to just hang out then I'd go to Hawaii. Way too much sleaze in NYC.

Way too much sleaze in NY? What do you mean?

There's a lot to do here outside of the clubs. My partner and I go out only a few times a year but still find plenty to do - and I usually find I can't do all of the things I would like because I run out of time.

    What a choice. To me, it's a no-brainer.....

    Repeat after me:

"I want to be a part of it....

    ...NEW YORK...NEEEWWW YORRRRRK...!!"

Can you be more specific about what you do like to do?

NYC is well-known for its partying & crazy stuff. Honolulu, not so much. If that's your only condition, then I say go for Honolulu. Not to say that you can't have a (relatively) quiet visit to NYC, but the city does have an energy to it that makes it less relaxing than going to a tropical island.

So... what are you interested in? Restaurants? Hiking? Theater? Snorkeling?

Depends on the lifestyle you want. Hawaii for sure has a slower pace lifestyle overall. New York like most urban cities are some what fast pace. Both places are great destinations, however you might prefer one over the other.

The statement is just related to someone from the region who wants to hang-out with me. I am just the regular type who just like to do city or beach exploration and not care to hit pool or beach party, night clubs, etc... I am just the quiet peaceful kind of guy icon_smile.gif.

Honolulu is definitely the better of the two cities. I would go there if I were you. Forget NYC entirely.

I'd say Honolulu for a proper vacation, but given that you only have a few days, I'd go with NYC. Travel and lodging would be much cheaper, and a weekend in NY is a great getaway. Going to Hawaii for only a few days would seem really awful to me because I'd want to stay longer.
