    Hey guys! I'm Justin.

I have some important information I would like you guys to read and hopefully decide to do if you meet the requirements.

Bunim-Murray Productions and MTV are seeking extraordinary people who appear to be between the ages of 16-24, who want to share their coming out stories. Whether you have already come out, or you want to come out, you can be part of a revolutionary TV special airing on National Coming Out Day (October 11).

    Just ask yourself this:

-Do you have a particularly unique coming out story that you are willing to share?

-Do you hope to inspire others to gain confidence to come out as well?

-Are you tired of not being able to be completely honest about yourself with a relative or friend?

-Do you have someone in your life whom you have still not come out to and wish to involve in this special event?

-Who are you most scared to come out to? Why?

-Has there been a recent life incident that has inspired you to come out?

Please send your name, contact info, your photo and tell us why you want to take advantage of this opportunity to comingoutcasting@gmail.com!!

    OR

    Apply at http://www.bmpcasting.com/casting/comingout/

HOPEFULLY I'LL SEE ONE OF GUYS ON T.V!! GOOD LUCK!

Awesome! Another opportunity for MTV to continue it's 20+ years of perpetuating negative stereotypes of gays and young people. Really Really Awesome!!

How so? I wouldn't kill it before it's out of the gates.

Who knows, maybe you will find an uplifting story or two.

Hi I'm MTV I'm looking for feminine homosexuals with HUGE coming out issues so that it can garner a wider audience. Please don't be old (over 24) or be secure with your lifestyle because no one wants to see that shit.

'Reality' TV is generally exploitative crap. It's just Oprah and Jerry Springer in a different setting.

I disagree with the negative posts. I think that MTV has done some of the best reality TV shows ever made. They have a series called "True Life" that is very moving and very inspired. It brings the harsh realities of issues facing America's youth in perspective using the young people's voices.

I have seen MTV do very important documentaries. They have too gay friendly an audience to fuck this up.

Yeah, they are totally gay friendly. They just don't thing we "old" people have anything to say or contribute.

This attitude has bled into television in general over the years...eg. American Idol age limits, botox and cosmetic surgeries required so 30 something (more experienced) actors can play teen to twenty something roles, Paris Hilton (really?).

I agree that MTV has done some really GREAT things over the years, but they have also helped to set the bar for ageism in our country.

MTV IS A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought that when I came in here I would be the first one to bash this foolishness, but thankfully I'm not! There are some Aware Queers up in this thrad!!!!!

Knowing MTV they will cherry pick the most extreme caricutristic portrayal of a Male Homosexual and make sure he is Flaming and Lisping. Of course when MTV portrays Lesbianism they make sure the Lesbians are well represented by attractive, sensual Bi-curious and hetero-flexible girls. They wouldn't dare reinforce negative stereotypes aout Lesbians being overweight and unkempt, but of course when it comes to Homosexual males they will make sure they fit the stereotypes to a fault and amplifty them times 1 Billion! And then GLAAD will give them an award for honest positive portayal of Homosexuals what a bloody fucking joke!

MTV is pandering simply to make itself seem on the leading edge and liberal, but trust me it's not.

FUCK MTV What a Joke! No pure Homosexual or Gold Star Gay would ever apply for such a Minstrel Show.

What a joke. This is not about inspiring others or raising awareness and breaking stereotypes.

Anybody stupid enough to get in front of a camera for MTV's profit deserves what's coming to them.

I love it. You would break stereotypes and maybe some of the "down low"
"I'm super hard and a gangsta" stigma will decline a bit in the black community as a result.

I really hope you get it. If there's a page to vote, send me the link. You're charming and I smiled and chuckled watching it(with you, not at you)

Even though MTV's got its dark trashy side, it also has its bright educational side as well.

With shows like True Life, Made, I Used to be Fat, etc, they give inspirational and supposedly true accounts of a young adolescent's life in the present. I learned a lot of different things and I really do believe some of MTV's programming does give a positive vibe. MTV also runs campaigning with sex education, abuse, cyber bullying, addiction, as well as encouragement for civic engagement like voting. Hell, my peers absolutely need to be more engaged in public communities.

I can't wait to see what's in store for today, National Coming Out day, Oct 11.
