Is it really bad that I just started watching this show (about to watch the third episode of S1) and I love it, even with the not-so-great acting?

If you've seen it, you know why I put it in the all things gay section. Although it is mainly as a joke. icon_razz.gif

My partner is totally into it, and I think it's pretty good, though I hate it when they kill off hot guys. The writing is pretty good for TV these days, and th eacting is mostly OK.

Its rated >8.0 on IMDB for a reason. Just keep watching it gets better and better. Promised. Oh you will take it back about not so great acting when you get to season 2. Nina Dobrev is a gem

I watched that series and loved it. One of my guilty pleasures. I feel like the acting isn't that bad, or, as others said, it gets better. After finishing that up, I started True Blood and am caught up with that now. Ohh summer...so much free time. Anyway, you are not alone, and enjoy! Very addictive.

I watch it. I have a lot of complaints but I'm ok with the acting. I thought season 2 was getting a little ridiculous actually, but I still watched the whole season.

Damon is beautiful. I also love watching Tyler. I think Elena is a bit of a princess compared to Elena (book version) I also think Matt is sexy as hell. Damn this show and all It's sexy men. OMG I forgot about Jeremy, very cute.

Ha ha, like I said, I have only seen a few episodes, and I am used to watching shows like Dexter, Weeds, and TrueBlood, I guess the acting is just different.
But yeah, the acting on the show has gotten a lot better even in the few episodes I have seen. Maybe the cast just had to start getting to know each other better!

As for the guys in the show, holy crap, tell me about it. Can I be a vampire? lol

Yeah, I cannot wait to see what's going to happen next! The last two episodes of season 2 had me drooling for more 0_0 Then again I like a show that kills off most of it's cast.

I've watched every episode from the start. My only complaint is that it lost some of it's 'scary' factor. It's mostly a teen drama now, but the guys are hot and i'm caught up in the charactors.

I hear that there are gay vamps coming in the next season. Let's hope that's true. I can think of a hot warewolf I wouldn't mind bedding down with ;)

ya it has for sure lost a lot of the blood and gore from season 1 but I think with the introduction of the "originals" at the end of season 2 that will all come back in season 3.

I love the show and I'm not ashamed to admit it icon_biggrin.gif

I want to start watching it, just haven't had the time to watch it without being disturbed. Want to watch it cause of Ian Somerhalder, the only episode I saw pieces of looked good.

That show is intense and badass my jaw drops almost every episode. Its the PG version of Ture Blood and I'm into both of those shows
