...what is the sweetest thing anyone has done for you on your birthday? What's your best birthday story? What was your worst?

Best: Bar owner (whom I didn't know) ordered the bartenders to give me free drinks all night - even top shelf mixed drinks, which I usually drink anyway. That was my 40th.

Worst: I'd lost my job three weeks earlier and had no money; and all my friends were broke too. So I stayed at home and sulked. That was my 21st birthday. icon_lol.gif

The best birthday is when I made out like a bandit with 800 dollars. That was my 15th birthday.

My worst birthday was when my dad had to go to the hospital for Kidney stones. I had no friends due to coming out, and I was taking everything too hard. I never felt more alone than on this birthday. This was my 19th birthday.

BEST: BF surprised me with a romantic evening out. Nice restaurant. Then cool hotel room with a huge jaccuzi tub for us. Made me tear up because it really caught me by surprise.

WORST: Ex BF forgot my 30th birthday. He made other arrangements to go out with some friends on that evening. When I asked if I could come along with them, he said No! Took him another month to remember my birthday. We didn't last long after that.

I had to work on my birthday icon_sad.gif It wasn't that bad. I loved my job and my coworkers threw me a surprise "party" with a cake. Good times.

Best and worst: On my 18th birthday I decided to go into a club for the first time. I ended up being a little mouthy so I got into the most intense brawl of my life. I wasn't even in the club for 10 minutes... haha

Best: 35th.. 9 friends and I spent it at Disney Land.. I called it Between the Decades theme.

Worse: 25th. Waiting for my dad to come out of Brain Cancer Tumor Surgery. I was in the waiting room on my birthday waiting for the results. They got it all.

Surely if your friends had that kind of money they'd pay off all their debts and buy new houses, no? icon_lol.gif

He is 550 bucks for a night, thats easy to pay.

    I've had some awesome birthdays.....

I had an amazing bouquet of flowers sent to me at my office several years ago... and it was not from my bf... I still don't know who it was.
I had a guy who (seriously) offered to be my present 3 years ago and wanted me to unwrap him. I didn't.....

My parents always made my birthday fun, parties, always a cake.. surprises!

Not all, however, I've had several much quieter birthdays, but even if I had to work and they were in the middle of the week, generally some kind of family get together, even for dinner and cards and a surprise or two.

Best wishes for an awesome birthday tomorrow!

Worst: Ex breaking up with me on my 32nd birthday. He took me out to an expensive restaurant, then dumped me toward the end of the dinner.

Best: Any birthday from the time I can remember up to about age 12.

A good birthday is spending time with loved ones. One of my favorites was when my boyfriend at the time took me out to a French restaurant for dinner and we went for a hike in the hills afterwards.
Another good one was when my brother and his girlfriend at the time joined me and my girlfriend at the time at a Cajun restaurant. The three of them were into photography so after dinner we had fun goofing around taking pictures and just having fun.

The worst was when I was around 10 and I got the chickenpox right before my birthday. It was no fun. I couldn't have a party.

BEST: Dan (my bf) setup a birthday dinner with my friends. Everything about it was amazing. It was simple, but I was very very happy. He took care of all the preparations and actaully found a day where all my different circle of friends could meet up! That same morning, he tried to cook me breakfast. I woke up to the smoke alarm, deformed pancakes, and coffee with grinds in it because the filter wasn't on properly. He was so upset. He was so nervous of not wanting to screw up that he made it into a total disaster.

WORST: My ex screwed up twice. First time, he totally forgot. The following year, i booked off a few days from work to hang out with him and celebrate my birthday. He was so selfish and was down on himself because of some school stuff. I met him at the university where he said he was having a bad day and asked me to drive him home (he lived 1 hour from me). I drove home trying not to cry, but had to pull over because it was so much. I was taken for my birthday weekend by 3 different groups of friends. My family threw me a party as well, and so did my co-workers. It had to be the saddest birthday ever, because even though so many wanted to share my day with me, the only person who I wanted to spend my birthday with, didn't want to see me. Suffice to say, I broke up with him a month later.

Best: My 17th birthday some friends and I had a bonfire BBQ with tons of booze and a pool.

Worst: my 21st birthday, it was my first birthday living in the city and like 3 people came out. One left after being there for about a half hour and one of my best friends decided to have an emotional break down over a guy that truly didn't matter. The worst part had to be that it was kind of a celebration of be getting out of the hospital -.-
