I was on the subway today and this really really hot korean guy sat down across from me. I was kinda staring at him, but then he stared at me too. But when he would stare at me I would look away and vice versa. The happened about 7 or 8 times. When i got out of the car I looked at him again as the train was pulling away. He winked at me.

I was like fuck....I will never see him again. He was so delicious too. icon_mad.gif

St8 guys don't look into another guys eyes unless by accident. They don't do it again. They stare your chin, or your tattoe, or your shoes. If a guys is repeatedly looking into your eyes, he wants you. How do you react when you're face to face with a hot guy, or a really ugly guy with warts on his face? That's how str8 guys see you, or the pretending to be str8 guy sees you.

you would be thoroughly creeped out by the precision with which I can identify the nationality of an asian man based on his attire, clothing, and facial features.

In the future, wink earlier before he does. You can always pretend you got something in your eyes later and deny it. Try that next time.

The issue here wasn't that you couldn't tell, it was you froze in place because he showed interest.

You need practice, and since we don't meet hot guys every day you need to practice cold. Have you heard of mock interviews?

Also smiling at will(force smiling ) is very easy, of the almost 40 muscles involved in facial expressions smiling requires just a few. Ask a friend to abuse you verbally and you learn to smile back. It will become a second nature to smile when you are nervous.

Because, if it happens in the subway or bus you need to be fast; you're against time there.
It's not like in coffee shop, or gym where you have more time to do another 10 'look at me look away' maneuvers.

Seems like you froze rather than realizing he was interested. A couple of back and forth glancing... who knows? Bur 7 or 8 (and looks who's counting), then yes. Go ahead smile and say hey.

And thanks Hypnotico for the CL Missed Connections! Did not know about this icon_smile.gif

    I thought it's "f*ck me", or "f*ck you"...?

Oh wait, those are phrases. Nevermind. You're right Paul. "Hi" is extremely powerful icon_wink.gif
