    Wow, I'm not sure how that can not move you.

    Amazing courage derived from unbearable pain and sustained by a will to be there for others.

    Regardless of your views of religion, this is a message of hope for every gay man and woman out there.

    Hope
    Hope is the thing with feathers
    That perches in the soul,
    And sings the tune--without the words,
    And never stops at all,

    And sweetest in the gale is heard;
    And sore must be the storm
    That could abash the little bird
    That kept so many warm.

    I've heard it in the chillest land,
    And on the strangest sea;
    Yet, never, in extremity,
    It asked a crumb of me.

    His grandfather was one of the biggest in organized religion. In Robert's sermon above, his reaction and attitude regarding televangilsts is quite modern and realistic.

    If you watch the video, he states he was born in 1974.

    I found his blog at http://voulez-vousandtiggertoo.blogspot.com/

    His blog says he has a boyfriend

    Now that gay is becoming more mainstream, I think many will consider or re-consider religion in thier lives. It seems that he just started talking publicly about coming out. I watched his "it gets better" video and his earnestness is appealing. I think he could speak to many on a very heartfelt level. This is sooooooomuch better than "reparative" therapy.

    This is what many people from a religious background face. I myself have come to the conclusion that I may lose much of my family, seeing that i'm African and my family is highly religious, but at the end of the day life is not worth living for the satisfaction of others. His message is beautiful and will help a great many, who are stuck in a dark place because of extremist religions.

    I went to hear him that Sunday morning.. it was very inspiring and interesting. This man is a great speaker and his story is very moving. The church where he spoke is also a very cool place and is worth attending.

    Interesting. Doesn't the late Sen. Barry Goldwater, Mr. Conservative, have a gay grandson? And Phyllis Schlafly, an icon for conservative family values, has a gay son. Former vice president Dick Cheney has a lesbian daughter. Wish their gay relatives would make these conservative stalwarts more sympathetic and understanding of gays, but they don't seem to be.

    Dick Cheney and his wife support gay marriage.

    Goldwater would be kicked out the modern Republican party for being too liberal.

    Schlafly is a nut.
