Above is an exclusive You Tube presentation of American Idol's Jasmine Trias (Hawaii). Sweden's DJ Hypo and myself teamed up together to do the exclusive dance remix of Excuses (Love Me).

    I'm off to Hawaii tomorrow!

Any recommendations of fun things to do in Honolulu?

Hula's is the largest gay bar. It's not bad. For a romantic dinner I think Hau Tree Lanai at the New Otani Hotel is great. You eat right at the beach and have a beautiful view of the sunset. It's at the far end of Waikiki Beach (near Diamond Head) and a fairly quiet area as a result. There is a gay area on Waikiki Beach but I don't think it's anything special. Frankly, I think one of the best things you can do is just rent a car and take a drive around the island, stopping whenever you see something interesting. It's really pretty small so you can't get lost. Also, make a side trip to the Pali Lookout for a great view of the Windward side of the island. The drive will take you through the rain forest, as well. And the Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor really is remarkable (get there early). Have a great time (and did I say, bring LOTS of money?)

Where to start now.... lets see fun things in Hawaii. Presuming you'll be on the island of Oahu, you gotta do Waikiki, yes its a tourist trap, but you gotta see it. Pearl Harbor of course, swim and snorkle with the most beautiful fishes at Haunauma Bay, gotta go early to save a spot though. Rent a moped like every one else and head over there. Soak in the sun, sceneary, and smells as you head there. The must do, is Polynesian culture center on the north side of the island, every tourist and even for the locals, its a must do. An all day event, with a lavished hula show and luau at the end of your day. Book early though.... shop at Ala Moana shopping center, one of the worlds largest open air malls, swing on down to Kahala Mall too, its in the most pricey real estate area of the state, awesome cute boutiques mixed in with local stores. Make sure you swing on by by Aloha Stadium Swap Meet, its something you'll never see anyplace else... totally catering to the tourist and like. All you souviner and gift buying can be done here for less then half the price anywhere else.

For the "gay" things, yes Hula's, fusion and angles in Waikiki. Queen's surf and Diamond Head beach for cruising and lounging on the sand. Pick up the Odysse local gay mag for more 411.

Pali lookout is spectacular, the Windward side of the island is complete opposite of Waikiki and Honolulu side of the island. Hike Diamond Head, Tantalus, or Waimea falls park. Eat the fresh fruits growing all over for energy, mango, citrus, guava, passion fruits, berries and some wild flowers too.

so much to mention, so when you get there just stop any local and ask. We are the friendliest and most hospitality minded people you may meet. After all tourist is our main economy there, so we love you and wanna take care of you too. Just respect our land, culture and people, and you'll have a blast and will come back over and over again... aloha...
