I'm curious to see what people are watching these days for cartoons. I don't have cable, so I'm not entirely up to date (at least not that I know of).

Here's the list of NEW cartoons (i.e. are putting out new episodes still) as far I know that are watch worthy:

    1. Young Justice
    2. Thundercats (starts next week, I think)
    3. Naruto
    4. Bleach
    5. Avengers
    6. Batman-Bold and something (not sure if this is still making new episodes or not)
    7. Star Wars-Clone Wars

And what I would consider classic cartoons (no longer making new episodes) in the 2000's:

    1. Justice League/Unlimited
    2. Teen Titans
    3. Avatar: The Last Airbender

I know there are more classic ones that go further back than the 2000's (He-Man, Superfriends, the various Batman and Supermans, the original Thundercats, the original Transformers), but I'd like to keep this thread fairly current-ish.

    Any noteworthy additions?

I love Naruto. I go on the internet and watch the latest episodes, their far ahead of whats on the tv.

But cartoon network is doing a new series for Looney Tunes. Don't really care for it much.

I don't know if shows like Family Guy American Dad and South Park counts but I can't get enough of those shows.

Some great new anime you can find on Hulu, or elsewhere for that matter:

    Tiger & Bunny

    Blue Exorcist

If you haven't checked out the Soul Eater series(which is also on Hulu) then you are truly missing something.

Soul Eater was a pretty epic show.

So was Tokyo Majin, although it kinda jumped around the last few seasons.

I just re-watched the last few episodes of X-Men Evolution today for the heck of it.

Other than that the only two i follow weekly are Bleach and Naruto on hulu, until another one snags my attention.

Adventure Time has a lot of clever adult references, but don't watch much TV so wouldn't know many other current ones

Thanks for the suggestion, but the link you gave me is streaming real slow for some reason. Maybe I will try later.

It is also kind of difficult for me to take marvel + anime seriously. Just seeing the way they drew wolverine kinda pisses me off (he looks hairless icon_sad.gif ) . But I will give it a chance because I hated the way wolverine and the x-men looked at first (I was used to the 90s cartoon) but by the end of it i loved the series due to the storyline. Really the only anime I can stand is cowboy beebop, mostly cuz it kicks ass and doesnt really follow many anime cliches.

But thanks for the suggestion man ; )

My sister hated it, but when I watched it I was laughing so hard. I don't know why, but it's ultimate college humor.

Its a cartoon for kids, but like older kids. It is the moral ambiguity and almost super mario-like cartooniness and sense of adventure that I love.

I remember one episode where they meet someone who tells them to be pacifits and they end up screwing over many people by not just fighting the bad guys lol. In most kids cartoons it would be simple black and white that violence is bad. In adventure time it is not so clear and the lesson of the episode is that violence is necessary sometimes to protect those who need it. I love moral ambiguity in entertainment.

Just think of it as an alternate universe where Wolverine is anorexic and is furless, lol. Other than that, it's a great adventure. I didn't mention the x-men 12 episode anime adventure because I don't really think it's worth the watch.

Lots of 90s cartoons. Those were the best times!
