    Hi guys,

I have just been having an iPad for some weeks, it was pretty great except for its wifi problems. It goes like this:

When i turn on the wifi, i can connect to the internet, but after using, i still leave it on and play some games, and when i need to connect to the internet again, i just can't. And the quick fix would be turning the ipad's wifi off and on again then i can connect to the internet just fine again. But this is quite a pain in the ass.

I have searched over the internet to find users complaining about ipad 2 wifi but still haven't found anyone having the same problem like me. So just asking if any of you guys have the same problem? or maybe i should take it to the apple store to let them fix sth about it?

Do all of your other devices have internet connections? Does the same happen to them?

It's also possible that your router just doesn't play well with your iPad. Does this problem happen with public wifi hotspots?

Also, are you running the newest iOS?

I don't have much experience with iPads... so I'm not sure how much I'll be able to help in the long run. To even start I need some more info about the problem icon_smile.gif

Do you have any other wireless devices in the same room? One day, my laptop wouldn't connect to my wifi router, even though it was 3 feet away from me. The problem turned out to be a wirelesss security camera installed the other day.

Another possibility is interference from wifi routers from your neighbors. Try selecting a different channel on the router.

Make an appointment at the Genius Bar. If they can't fix or diagnose the problem, more like than not, they'll give you a new one right there on the spot (if they have one in stock. If not, they will order it and you'll have it in less than a week).

With most wifi-enabled devices the wifi will disconnect after a certain period of inactivity. When you wake up the device sometimes it takes a min to reconnect to the wifi. There are quite a few places something could go wrong with the connection.. usually its the router or ISP giving a weak signal or trying to find a free IP address if several devices are connected. Not sure if that will help at all but it's some info on where your problem might be.

First, try to recreate the same scenario on another Wifi network. If the same thing happens, then it's probably your iPad2. If not, it's probably your router. If so, I'd check the wifi router settings, specifically the DHCP section regarding doling out IPs and release times.

Thanks, i did check the dhcp section and it allots the IPs just fine. I have just found a thread concerning this problem and seems like i'm not the only one who's havin' this problem.
