    "Why are you doing this"
    "Because you were home"

'The Strangers' looks fucking terrifying. Hopefully like so many before it, the film will do the full length feature justice...

This seems like a must see horror film without all of the twists and tricks - just run for your life and kill who you can type stuff. (I sound desensitized - aye?) Thoughts?

i enjoy the fact that the intruders voice isn't distorted and almost sounds endearing.

Unfortunately, this will probably come to Mexico City quicker than something like Away From Her, which arrived about two weeks ago.

If it does come, there's a good chance I'll see it and then feel some shame afterward.

This movie looks really good. I like scary movies about things that can actually happen. PS- Scott Speedman in the movie helps too!! icon_wink.gif

Looks good. More of a thriller though, like Vacancy and P2.....will they survive?

    Your differ has been begged.

I never thought a movie made on 2007/2008 could look like it was made in 1987...low and behold. lol.

Grindhouse was specifically made in tribute to "grindhouse" movies of the 70's. they were supposed to look super low budget. part of it's/their charm.

the zombie stripper flick just looks like they made it in 1987 but it was a more "serious" (as serious as possible) film. Looks fun though and will certainly be a cult classic.

Who doesn't love a good (or ridiculously bad) zombie stipper flick...all it's missing are killer clowns from outer space....

    ::shudder::

I loved Grindhouse. It was one of the last movies I saw in the U.S. before I moved to Mexico City.

I loved EVERYTHING about it: the fake trailers, the graphics, the long conversations between the women in Death Proof.

Scary movies? There's no such thing. So many special effects and attention on sex and sudden moments of shock, but there's nothing truely freightening about most 'scary' movies nowadays, other than the horrible acting and dime a dozen pretty cheap young faced actors whom play the characters.

i dunno what's scarier... the fact that Stripper Zombies was allowed to made, or the fact that they expect enough to people to be interested in buying it to cover costs.

    I LOVED LOVED LOVED Grindhouse.

If you're judging it based on its 1980's feel or its dorky plots you're entirely missing the point.

Remember this was the guy who made Kill Bill which was awesome.

Planet terror is the one with the stripper. It's gory, cheesy, and awesomely hilarious at the entirely wrong moments.

It's meant to be that way, which is what's great about it.

    It's really very good.

Death Proof is a bit more slowpaced and honestly I almost fell asleep during the first parts where it was nothing but girls talking, talking, and more talking (although it was entertaining to see how girls act with each other heh). Then halfway through... you get the shock of your life. LOL. I almost puked at that part. icon_razz.gif

But what was really cool was the ending! Hah! AWESOME Ending! Watch it if only for the ending!
