When I was in my 20s I had brown curly hair. I use to get Kirk Cameron all the time. To the point where I was asked for autographs. Now, I get Anderson Cooper because of my hair. But certainly the similarity ends there.

This has to be one of the most frequently asked questions on RJ.

    2dh9xya.jpg

I was actually twice mistaken in one week for film actor Steven Bauer, best known from "Scarface" as the right hand man who marries Pacino's sister. This was in 1987 when, new to Manhattan, I splurged on a couple of nights on the town by taking cabs and going to restaurants, dressing up in a navy suit with an olive raincoat. Both a cab driver and a waiter asked me flat out if I was Steven Bauer. Recently I saw the movie "Sword of Gideon" and it all made sense. He'd headlined that flick in '86 and aside from suits and trenchcoats wore olive drab through much of it. Odds are he'd been promoting the film in NYC, too. Here's a YouTube clip of Bauer rockin' an olive military tank top in "Gideon":

Now I look more like Bauer than Bauer does, which is amazing because these cases of mistaken identity happened the year the OP was born.

I get Jake Gyllenhaal literally wherever I go, it always makes for entertaining encounters in the gym, restaurants etc...once a random homeless guy in NYC shouted at me "hey I loved you in that cowboy movie!" haha, it got me a free drink in a bar once, and the best was recently I had sinus surgery and looked like all hell and STILL the nurse was like "woah you know who you look like?!" haha I don't always see it but hey I'll definitely take the compliment, he's a good looking guy icon_biggrin.gif
