I was home last night and flipping thru the Netflix and saw an AutoBiography on Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat. Former WCW/WWE wrestler and now producer for the WWE.

I grew up in Charlotte and Atlanta so it was all about Pro-Wrestling and I have to say that "The Dragon" was an Idol that actually motivated me to pursue lifting weight and working out. There were other in that genre too. I also got to meet him when I went for a job at his Gold's Gym in Lake Norman, NC.

Who was your influence to work out? Was it just in your family genes? Was or is there a bigger goal other than health.

I actually thought of doing real bodybuilding competitions but life is life and it's reality.

After an EKG reading of "borderline atrial fib" the doc told me to give up coffee or start a serious diet and exercise program. Coffee is more important than oxygen, so exercise and diet was my only other option.

And aesthetics...didn't really like being fat (60 lbs heavier).

The exercise tests for the Police Service,to lose some weight around the waist, then finally the sheer enjoyment of it keeps me going.
