Anger, Hate, and the Internet

If there is one thing the internet has taught me, people have a lot of bottled up hate and anger inside them. Was recently reminded of that lesson when someone else actively made personal attacks against me and lying about me online. Makes my blood pressure rise just thinking about it. Also makes you want to avoid any social interaction via the net.

Then I remember all the good times I have had on RealJock; you guys give me hope in humanity. I send you all my thanks.

I agree, it is amazing what people say to each other on the internet. I can't believe they would talk like that if it was in person. I have been watching gay coming out videos on YouTube over the last few weeks, and the homophobic comments have been pretty vicious (fortunately there have been a lot of supportive ones as well).

You gotta emotionally detach yourself from all things internet stupid. Let it wash over you and never get to you. You really, need to not give a fucking damn.

Oftentimes, this site has quite the opposite effect on me. Good thing there's so many hot guys around here.

Actually it makes me want to avoid social interaction in public, because you're always wondering if this nice new dude is actually a hot-headed troll online somewhere. icon_lol.gif

People like that are saying more about themselves than they are you when they attack verbally.
