Just before he hit it big in the WWE, John Cena walked into a restaurant where I was having lunch and sat at the table next to me. I almost choked on my burger.
I have seen bodybuilders in my life but he still had some of the biggest biceps I have ever seen. And he's even better-looking in person. He was gracious to the waitstaff and polite. A real gentleman.
He was scheduled to wrestle in Albany, New York, that night and though I was supposed to head east to Boston, I debated whether to change my plans and see the show. Hell, I even contemplated going over and hitting him up for an invite. But decided that would be too forward--and weird.
It was hard not to stare at him while I ate my lunch.
As for Kerry Von Erich, I was a fan of his, too. But the story of his family is an epic tragedy and you guys should read about it online. He had several brothers and most of them committed suicide. Hard to fathom. Kerry, in my opinion, was the hottest, and had the best body. He certainly was the John Cena of his time.
