Evanescence (2011)

  After a slew of new members, (Amy Lee being the only one under contract with Wind Up Records) Evanescence is slated to be back with a new album due out this October.
  
  Lee has said this album is going to be, "More fun". Their first single called "What You Want" has already had its music video shot, but the song hasn't released in full(Release Date: August 9th). Here's a preview.
  
  
  
  She recently gave up little previews of two other finished songs off the album.

  I wouldn't say that... but I would say waiting 4 years in between each album does it make so you seem to go away for too long to be relevant.

  her voice is so great but i always missed the time that Ben Mody still a member of the band, they did it good together.

  My 13 angsty self is happy with this news...but my 21 self doesn't really like the song I do love Amy's voice and I love her piano ballads.

  I like this song alot on first listening but they are going to have to move a bit away from the nu metal sound if they hope to be successful this go around. Its not 2002 anymore

  I think this is where we see eye to eye.
  The Open Door was an okay album, but it didn't feel like progression in a good way. I have higher hopes for this one, but I won't hold my breath.
  
  (Hate to compare it from Origin, to Fallen, to The Open Door... but it was like, leap, to stumble)

  The album has leaked all over online, including the deluxe edition...
  
  Fallen still tops it... but it has its moments.
  
  Currently "Oceans" brings me back to where I wish they were.

  I was excited. Now, I'm dissapointed. Her voice is so special, and now it just sounds the same from the first to the last seconds. Yes, Amy, we know you can sign very high now, but it doesn't sound very awesome if you don't sing low anymore. :/

  This is my favorite band ever! They are great! Saw them live for the first time last October! Amazing! Highly recommend it to everyone! This new album was definitely made to be played live!

  It's funny - their second CD is my favorite by far. But "What You Want" is the only meh song off the new(er) CD. I think overall they're really good
