I like to do things but my friends NEVER do. I always want to go out to a movie or do something. I rarely go to the gym because nobody will go with me so I just swim in my pool and run by myself. It's a beautiful day out and I asked some friends if they wanted to go bike riding to the moutains and then take the hike trail and they all said no icon_sad.gif

I mean I can understand having a couple boring friends but I feel like all of them are lol. Sorry for the randomness. Do you guys have boring friends or boring people in general in your life? If so how did you fix it because I need to find SOMEONE who is willing to do fun things with me.

I went to the gym by myself today, for the first time in over a year. Within 10 minutes I was talking to everyone in there (it wasn't very busy) and working in with them.

LOL, I am the boring friend, because I do all the things you want to do with your friends.

My friends are really nuts, partying every weekend, sky-dyving, weekend trips abroad...

Sometimes, you can be your own best friend, don't depend on friends to do the things you enjoy.

    What really constitutes boring?

In some ways, I consider myself a boring person...as i don't talk alot. I can talk about subjects that I know of, like computers and horror movies, or general knowledge, but basically I like to listen.

I also have many interests, like drawing, writing, inventions, video games, fitness goals. (that last one is a little iffy as I can't find any friends to help me out, and I definitely won't look for someone on Craig's list for that!)

It does seem I think of my friends as boring most of the time, as they want to stay at home (with their significants) or are too involved in WOW. I like to party more often than they do, but also, I find myself seeming too boring as I can't commit to going on weekend excursions, with having a parent that needs my assistance.

    No.
If they are, we just don't see or talk to each other very often.

I wouldn't say they're boring, I would just say they have other things going on that don't always involve me ahha

Your friends aren't boring. It's not that they don't want to do anything, they don't want to do anything with you. I'm sorry you had to hear that from a stranger on the internet.

You can't fix other people. Keep doing the things you enjoy and eventually you'll meet new people and forget about your old boring friends.

I totally understand what your saying, I like going bike riding at the beach, hiking camping, boogie boarding, Star gazing, museams, and all that stuff. The only thing my freinds ever want to do is go to clubs or movies when they dont have work, which i dont mind but its the same thing over and over.

If i dont taylor my plans to them then we dont hang out. I got used to doing everything I wanted to do on my own. It sucks and quite honestly I feel like the biggest loser on teh planet doing EVERYTHING alone in a city like Los Angeles.

I have a couple ppl I can call on but not often. It used to get me down alot but lately I've been getting over it since im leaving to join the military soon so i figure if people wanna hang out or do fun stuff they will seek me out becuase its likely I will not return to california anytime soon.

Its not like i'd have any reason to come back to hangout anyway sine they didnt want to do anything when I was actually there.icon_rolleyes.gif

I've noticed this as guys age. A lot of my friends turn into old geezers in boys bodies. Sad when the fun dies down so much.

It's my co-workers. They could put anyone to sleep....or run away screaming!

I eat by myself every day at lunch because truthfully, they are uninteresting, banal and just plain stupid!

Try this group. They send out notices via email of outdoorsy, active outings going on in your general vicinity. It's gay-oriented.

Yeah I end up doing much alone, since many of my friends do not share the same interests as me, however I've met more people that like some of my interests so, sometimes I have company.

Remind me to come visit you at work and start a Par-tay in there. I'll bring the fun and your co-workers can bring their souls.

I know something that would be worse. What if they came along for that ride/hike and spoiled your beautiful day with their bad attitude? Or, walked the first 100 yards and said I don't think this is a good idea...I'll wait here...you go ahead...really....take your time...even though I am getting kind of hungry...but you just go ahead..I'll be ok. Or, if they managed to pedal as fast as you can walk, but are coughing up a lung the entire ride, and stop to smoke every ten minutes.

Don't wait for other people to enjoy your life, and be healthy. Do your hike and tell them how amazing and beautiful it was later. Just try to hide the grin when they say " I wish you had called me to go".

Well once in a blue moon they will eventually do something but most of the time they say "No I'm too lazy!" Like one time my friend wanted to walk to Wal Mart and I was already to go and they tell me "No I 'm too lazy " lol. If it's one thing that bugs me it's making plans and having the person cancel them last minute!

I did hike by myself yesterday and it was nice lol.

P.S. Thanks EliStark for the website I'll ceck it out icon_biggrin.gif

I don't understand. Why do you need another person in order to workout?

I've never understood why some people view the gym as a social salon rather than...a place to workout.
