Definitely a fantasy of mine. I was asked to come in for an audition for Eurocreme once but I didn't go. You never know, one day I might get into it, who knows? icon_cool.gif

I think the actors in it are great, they are fulfilling an essential service IMO!

Wow, this subject keeps popping back up like Whack-A-Mole. icon_rolleyes.gif

Porn looks like a dream gig to be called for, when you're watching one hung stud getting his tool sucked nine ways to Sunday by another before he eases it into the a-hole of the other and pounds the daylights out of him. (And when you're versatile like me you're jealous of both the guys as you, ahem, pleasure yourself.) But the reality is far different. 'most anyone who's ever been in the "sex industry" says so. The finished product has all the directors' orders muted out. Yep, director's orders. At least one person (usually a troll at that) is right there telling the guys what to do and when. Big movie cameras are trained on you from all angles the whole time. (Lots of editing happens before the film goes online or to DVD.) No matter how hot you and your co-star might be, the scenario is anything but. ("YOU CALL THAT A MONEY SHOT??? JESUS CHRIST! WE'VE JUST WASTED TWO FRICKIN' HOURS HERE.")

To a man (haven't met any women in the "industry" except two who were strippers and nothing beyond that), guys I've known who did porn got miserable pretty fast. And the more into it they got, the worse they got. It's not a giant leap to go from screwing on camera to putting your body up for sale. Drug and alcohol abuse run rampant. VERY few "stars" can last for more than a year or two (or a half-dozen productions) before they're considered old news and tossed aside. But their time before the cameras stays on record forever. These days it's as predictable as the sunrise to see yet another headline about somebody's porn past catching up to them. Ridicule is the worst that the lucky ones have to deal with (of course, misplaced envy's brought out too.) The unlucky ones get embarrassed professionally if not terminated.
Also, it's one thing to know that thousands of daddies and grandpas could be stroking as they watch YOU go at it on screen. It's another to have them stalking you and offering to be "generous," yet another to be placing "College Jock Escort" ads and having no choice but to take care of your clients. (There's a revolving door between "adult movies" and prostitution, let no one kid you.)
Big money? Oh yeah. For the people behind the scenes. The "actors" get one stack of bills handed to them in cash, one time. A percentage of the profits? Are you kidding?

Telling all this to a tight young guy who's, naturally, horny most of the time and also, naturally, likes being told he's hot is probably pissin' into the wind, I know. It's like trying to keep kids from smoking. icon_rolleyes.gif But there ya go anyways.

I think the best way to make money in porn is to have a brain as well as the other attributes. That way you can get involved in the behind the scenes stuff, the production, the direction etc as a natural step on from performing.

I think it makes sense for porn to be produced and directed by guys who actually have the experience doing it.

once again, "perception vs. reality" rears it's ugly head.

The industry will use you and cast you aside after paying you a paltry lump of cash for a lifetime of potential humiliation. I've refused before and will continue to refuse.

I would never do it. I have too much self respect for myself to go down that path. Though this is probably because I actually have a career path of my own and it doesn't involve porn in the slightest. So straight out no.
