Has anyone else besides me noticed that every song he sings sounds identical to the one he sang before it? He sings the same runs in every song.

David Cook sounds great and Jason Castro seems as though he doesn't care anymore.

The chicks are history, although Syesha is pretty entertaining ever since they had to sing Broadway.

I totally agree! David Cook is really good, and Jason Castro puts me to sleep as well. He's boring!

I wish Michael Johns was still around, I loved his soulful voice!

I gave up on this show about 3 years ago. The whole concept is really a joke. All it takes is the right type of fan that is willing to vote non stop loading the ballot box in your favor for two hours. That isn't exactly a fair contest and it sure won't produce every americans favorite choice for this thing. Not everyone is willing to play the voting game over and over so you get very skewed results. I've seen a few youtubes of this Archuleta dude. All I see is nothing more than a kid with a mediocre voice acting perpetually 10 to pull in the little girl votes. Basically the type of voter that is willing to vote non stop for two hours. It's all just one big commercial for ratings.

David Cook has a personality but DA is wooden and stands like a Monkey with constipation? Also DA looks like he is getting podgy (fat) his legs are huge? But DA does have a good singing voice l must say!

Tonight's show was kind of chaotic in terms of the judges, and Paula was clearly on another planet. I actually thought Brooke's 2nd song was one of the stronger performances of the night. Jason Castro needs to go just because he acts like he doesn't really care if he's there or not, but I think it may be Sayesha.

My money's on David Archuleta to win it all due to the teen girls voting (and the grannies), but David Cook will clearly have the longevity in terms of a career. Sometimes, it's actually better NOT to win AMERICAN IDOL. (i.e. Daughtry)

My picks for the Top 3 are: David A, David C, and Brooke, with the two David's in the finale

Being in music retail I've discovered that the whole thing, generally, is a huge joke. Rarely do any of the top 5 do anything huge after the show. Aside from Kelly Clarkson, Chris Daughtry and Carrie Underwood, all who had great success only Clay Aiken, Kelly Pickler and Bucky Covington have had moderate musical success at best. And those are a stretch.

Jennifer Hudson won an Oscar and will probably sell CD's when she finally records. David Cook is probably going to be HUGE! The rest this season are a huge snore. I like Syesha's voice. But, she seems to have zero personality. David Archuleta is an enormous bore and will probably tank in an enormous way. They'll discover that when he records and they can't make anything sound different from any of his other songs.

I think DA has no stage presence at all and his taste (or his dad's taste) in songs is weak. I am a huge Neil Diamond fan (more as a writer and less as a singer of his own songs) but DA picked poorly and his arrangement of Sweet Caroline was just flat out embarrassing. It's too bad he is only 17, the kid clearly has talent and clearly doesn't yet know who he is as a performer.

If I were David Cook I would be praying I came in second....

I liked DA at the beginning of the show. Now I am a Cook fan all the way. Cook has the talent to go far in the music industry.

DA will probably win since all the kiddos like him and they will text/vote over and over, hence they have nothing else productive to do.

i liked da because he was cute, i think his voice isn't as good as he thinks. the only reason he is still on is popularity with the teeny boppers. thats what the show is all about POPULARITY.

AND YOU OBVIOUSLY CAN'T BE A GAY IDOL BECAUSE YOU'RE "VOTED" OFF THE NEXT WEEK.

I started out in the DA camp, but down the stretch DC has really impressed me and actually got me to vote for him last night; I've never voted on AI before.

Vocally Syesha did well, but for some reason talent is taking second place to looks. I'm not shocked at all, but come on -- who would you rather listen to: whiny, breathy, monotone Jason Castro, or that big charismatic voice of Syesha's?

I've got to go with the majority here -- i fell for David A. when i first saw/heard him, but he's really been kinda boring. I hate David C's hair and I wouldn't buy his CDs when he records, but at least he has talent and I can see him selling lots and becoming professionally popular. Jason Castro is a bit of a joke -- beyond the hair, he's just the weed-smoking guy in your college dorm who plays his guitar with his shoes off in the quad and whom some girls think is 'sensitive.' I really was rooting for that irish rocker chick, whom i really enjoyed watching, but then again last year i was rooting for gina glocksen, who is in the same mold, because generally i hate the sort of music the 'idols' feel they have to sing.

And, um, yeah, was paula high last night (or higher than usual), or what?

    Paula was drizzunk!

I don't understand why they keep talking about these kids being current and edgy when they pair them with people like Andrew Lloyd Weber and Neil Diamond. I mean do they really think the youth of America relates with those people? And they dress them so badly. They dress like they are yuppies going to a concert, not musicians. I think the show has become a little too christian high school show choir. Its not a singing competition. Otherwise different people would be in the top (not Jason Castro, who had less talent than Sanjaya).

i think the show's relevance is expired.

The show is trash. I did catch it when Mariah was on and I LOVED Syesha's rendition of "Vanishing". She'll be gone either this week or next week even though she's clearly better than the one dude with dreads and a couple others on the show. I think out of all of them she would be around the longest if she won. Well, I think her and the blonde country girl that looks like Carrie Underwood would have great careers. Everyone else would bore me to tears, and after 2 or 3 albums, "America" would realize they aren't THAT great of singers as they thought they were on the show and they wouldn't be able to sell albums out of the trunk of their car. I think the show sucks now, the only season I watched was season 2.

I can't believe Jason Castro is still competing. He's talentless.

I have to agree with you about this, In the beginning I was blown away by David A and a few times I really like Jason Castro, BUT recently Jason seems to not care or put in any effort; and that hair! David Cook has been consistently the most talented and works hard to make his performances count,
I am sure it will come down to the two Davids with Archuletta winning because of all the pre teen girls voting but David Cook has a great career ahead of him.
David A might if he gets some good direction but other than his version of "Imagine" all is songs sound the same.
The girls? hmmm I am amazed Brooke is still on and Syesha actually was very good the 2nd song.

I'm 100% in the David Cook camp. DA is cute, but his aw-shucks demeanor is really grating on my nerves, and his performances have been just meh lately.

Paula Abdul is the real star of the show. It's the only reason I tune in, to watch her weird critiques and non sequiturs.
