I give intelligent, and common sense opinions, on topics that interest me. I'm not looking to have people agree with me, you do or you do't doesn't bother me. I enjoy having little debates, on topics that interest me, or are important and effect me in some way.
I write for the people on here who agree or disagree... But can actually think for themselves, and can make intelligent, and common sense responses. You and some others seem unable to not only make intelligent, common sense responses... But can't really comprehend what you read, and come at everything hell bent on your ideology, which makes you look brainwashed twits.
Seems as if college no longer teaches people how to think, but what to think- making people unable to speak for themselves.
::ahem:: not only are your "intelligent and common sense opinions" intellectually dishonest, they are skewed with inaccuracies (lower taxes creates jobs, higher taxes loses them).
Government has grown under all presidents in one way or another, the bush tax cuts LOST jobs, part of the reason we were downgraded was because of the Republicans refusal to raise taxes on the wealthiest Americans, and you really should NAME which "entailment" programs need cutting.
ROFL too easy.
I expect someone of your limited thinking, to ASSume, what I say to be "intellectually dishonest" or "right-wing". Because you yourself are so far on an extreme, anything not there is dishonest, and or right-wing. So now that we've established you clearly don't think for yourself lets move on to your other weak statements..
Yes government has grown.. BUT also been reduced by many presidents. If you weren't so lazy to actually do research you'd see how gov expanded, or shrunk depending on the presidents. (now I dare you to do some research on which presidents shrunk government, and what it did to the economy when they did.)
Now let me explain how high taxes hurt in the long run.
If I owned a big business, which would make me a rich guy by the way. If taxes were low, I'd have a nice amount of money to either...
A. Hire more employees, giving more people jobs.
B. Give my employees higher wages, and or more benefits.
C. All of the above.
If taxes were high, combined with an uncertain economic future...
A. I'd have to get rid of some employees, and definitely cut some pay, or take some benefits away.
B. Would be hesitant to hire
C. Would move my business to another state doing the right thing (like Texas), or move my business overseas, both of which hurts jobs.
D. All of the above
When taxes go up on owners of big business, who already pay more than the poor, or average middle class, food, clothing, and other consumer goods rise in price, which makes things even harder on that family trying to get by.
Now I fully understand why taxes would have to raise at times, no problem with that... It becomes a problem when the wankers in Washington spend like a teenage chick who got a hold of her daddy's card... And on wasteful shit at that.
I'm not one bit surprised the tax cuts given to big business haven't changed much of anything under Bush or Obama, because both of them spend/spent too much, and Obama has implemented policies that has caused uncertainty among businesses, so they're scared and I don't blame em. They have a better grasp of the economy, and what's coming pertaining to it, more so than these silly suits in Washington.
And if you read the federalist papers (which I'm sure you didn't, and won't). One of the things it talks about are laws passed. If they are too big, and hard to understand even by the average citizens, it will cause business to halt. Which is what happened with the whole HC bill, which people keep finding mistakes in (big surprise).
I agree Obama got a lot on his plate when he came into office. Things that went on in the last admin brought about the falling of the economy. However Obama made it worse, with his lack of understanding what fixes it, and wanting to move the country in a direction, that other countries are trying to move away from.
As far as cuts go, ALL entitlement programs need to be reformed. Not gotten rid of, just fixed. Education dept needs to be completely cut, because they do absolutely nothing for schools, just look at how poorly our education system has become, especially in urban areas. The big fat cat teacher's union bosses, don't give a shit about the kids, just themselves, their favourite politicians. Then give speeches on how much they care for our kids, schools, and their future... BS.
We need to stop sending foreign aid to certain countries like I don't know.. Pakistan, and China, and its in the billions by the way.
There are some areas in the military in which there is a lot of over spending, and that needs to be pulled in as well.
I wish all of these rich liberals, who talk so much about raising taxes celebs by the way who don't own businesses, and talk about it without the knowledge of what higher taxes will do in the long run to the poor, and people just trying to get by... Which ultimately effects the economy, (can't have high taxes in times of uncertainty), would create huge programs so that they can put more into the pot themselves, if they have that class warfare mentality.
