Using the ABS DIET (strength training 3x week and interval cardio 2x week) how long should I expect me to go from 18% body fat to about 10%? assume my diet is very high in protein with only good fats and lots of veggies/fruit.

is 3 months unreasonable? according to my calculations, I need to lose 17 pounds of body fat to achieve my goal.

i dont think 3 months is unreasonable at all as long as you grind it out. I have used my own versions of the abs diet using different exercises in the circuit, and it has been great as long as I stick to it and do the three work outs a week.

17lbs of body fat is probably pushing it for 3 months. The rule of thumb I've always heard is that if you lose more than 4-5lbs of body weight per month, it's not all fat. And hitting 5lbs of fat loss a month means you're doing it perfectly.

Who knows, though, every body is different. Only one way to find out how well yours burns fat! icon_smile.gif

I've always heard that the first week was 2-5 lbs, after that is 1-4 lbs a week...
