    It is, isn't it?

I found it sad and sacrilege people have to invent some fracking 'god' instead of awed by the wonder of mother nature.

I think some people are able to appreciate nature but believe in a God to help explain how it might have gotten there.

Belief in deity is absolutely unnecessary, but it's nice to appreciate the diversity of life and how these critters can adapt to various environments to maximize their survival.

I just knew this wouldn't get past 3 comments before it turned into a flame war about religion. * Sigh *

I guess they like the simple answers because they can't comprehend the intricate web of eco-system.

Well, so far all 3 of us seem to agree, so there is no war.

Why cant Mother Nature and God be the same thing anyway? Solves the whole problem of the "dichotomy" of one vs the other

Yes, but the thread is not about religion, so to bring it into the discussion is sure to start a debate. Not that I'm opposed to a good debate.

Because mother nature doesn't drive zealots to hold signs says "Mother nature hate fags" at soldier's funerals.

Anyways, my fault for bring this up in the first place. I'm done.

Let's post some more nature videos.

I simply just dislike using religion as an empty and simplistic way to explain the diversity of life. Every day we learn new things about nature when we take the opportunity to explore and observe. Some of the answers are straightforward while others remain mysterious.

Huh? This is too dichotomous for me, does not compute.... The different things mentioned here to me dont have much to do with each other in my mind...

If god is mother nature..... life is religion... thats not simplifying life with religion.... thats equating the two

I wrote this song a while ago....

    So Many

Dont you know Im still here waiting?
For you I bear the cross, still staying,
My lovely ones, in love or hating,
The years go by, the months go waning,

Many will pass, many in peace,
Many to come, many in pain.
Many to lose! Can I win any?
    I already lost so many!

One battle won, one war still waging,
So many souls, so many raging,
So many songs, I will keep praying
For those whom peace and love seem crazy,

So many lives, so many hopes,
So many lusts, so many fears,
Can I choose one? Can I choose any?
    I already lost so many!

We are alive, in love or pain,
One day to die, never in vain.

How many more must go on dying
To win a war? Must we keep trying?
Must I say no or go on with the show?
Must I say me or we say we?

Should I go North? Should I go South?
Should I shout out or shut my mouth?
Can I say all? Can I say any?
    I already said so many!

    MuchMoreThanMuscle saidLOL...a blue footed booby?

I love it, the webbed feet, the pointy tail, the dance. I want one just so I can say, hey! Wanna come over and see my blue footed booby?! icon_razz.gif

And apparently they're entirely too easy to catch :-p It would be hard for me to resist the temptation to snatch one of them up if I ever visit the Galapagos Islands.

Penguins are one of my favorite animals, and by far my favorite species is the Little or Fairy Penguin. They're just so fucking adorable!

The cutest Fairy Penguin of all is definitely Cookie icon_smile.gif
